I am interested if in FH2 any possibility of no crosshairs like Red Orchestra.
I played it on UT-2003 and it was very exceptional, relying on iron sights in FH2 and spray'en'pray in close quarters would be thrilling. I do know of the a majority of FH fans that are still relatives to the vanilla thus I could understand such a good concept not being developed.
I agree, you can still spray and pray, it's just it will be a little harder to hit the target.
Iron sites should be the main way to shoot the weapon.
FH2 will definately have iron sights. And probably really great iron sights.
I think McGibs said that instead of crosshairs we'd get a directional dot.
Removal of crosshair just benefits smgers, now waiting to know if you will like that.
While crosshairs arn't realistic, I think using them (atleast for smgs) will simulate shooting from the hip or running position. If your running somewhere its hard to look down an ironsight and actually aim. In certain situations, "spray-n-pray" to me can be realistic. I don't like the bulky crosshair. I liked the idea of the dot as a sense of direction. Im half and half on this one because it is a video game but crosshairs give it more of an arcadish feel.
I'd be happy with a directional dot, which of course will still rely on a period of a few seconds for the gun to become steady enough for the gun to fire straight - similar to crosshairs closing.
I think an open circle is better in terms of just being for direction. This way you can fairly accurately fire over short distances, but you can't actually put the circle on an enemy far away, because you have to guess where the middle of it is.
I didn't make it!
Wait how do you figure that no crosshairs unbalances the game towards smgs?
rifles now have even less of a chance?
because without crosshairs a smger can still spray and pray and have sucess, but the riflemen will always need to use the ironsight or his chances of sucess are very limited.
The absolute removal of crosshair has lot of cons: boring, the screen-dot "cheaters", etc. I am not telling we will have the classic cross for sure, the open circle seems a good solution, we will see.
If you are so fanatic of crosshairs removed you can do it in BF2, the game has that posibility of crosshair customization.
