i agree its better with a crosshair, it becomes frustrating otherwise. and its only lame, because its sorta unfair. lol

LoboMost clean solution is a small dot of adhesive tape..yeah, i am one of those lamers, not in CS though, never played that thing. But CIS mod had not crosshairs and after 15 minutes of painfully experience I placed the dot and the mod becomed an enjoyable thing.

And that's nr one reason why other games should use Operation Flashpoint system!:nodding:

Operation flashpoint is a tremendously awesome game and has probably the best rifle aiming system EVER. The game even keeps track of where your gun's pointed when it's slung over your shoulder! Celestial navigation (stars are accurate for the Time, Date, and Lat/Long), huge areas with passengerable vehicles, ect, ect.

Anyway, back to the topic, if you hold a rifle non-sighted, you may know the size of the uncertainty in where it's pointed, but you'd never be able to guess where the center of that uncertainty was with any accuracy, you would easily be off 50-200 minutes of arc. Anyway, this is a "me too" for McGib's stated system.

And the crosshairs would be needed for SMGs less than rifles, cuz with SMGs you just see where the bullets go to correct.

You stated what I was thinking, Frederf. IRL, the smgers would just see where the bullets hit and adjust accordingly. That coupled with experience of their weapons.

Try to not tirple post, please, when you press "Post Quick Reply" you must wait for a while but post will appear, otherthing that it sometimes doesn't get you out of advanced mode after posting and you can make alot of posts that way and not even know of it. But enough of off-topic. In game you can also see where the fired bullets hit, so why do we need crosshairs for this? Hey, Real-BadSeed, I also like those addons, you can do incredible thing with them, if you want more WW 2 themed, check here: http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~ww2ec/download.php Also here's site with alot of addons, both WWII themed and many others, but I warn you it's polish website, but it shouldn't bother you while checking downloads: http://www.ofp.imro.pl/index.php?page=addony1
