Now that I have had a chance to play the push maps a bit, and the novelty has worn off, I would like to offer my opinion. I just find they are very one dimensional. Everybody just spawns at the two closest flags and runs into each other. No need for anybody to be defending at any other flag since nobody is going to flank the map and try to grab a back flag they can't cap. Battlefield awareness is no longer a necessary skill. These push maps, (to me anyways), have more of a WWI trench to trench warefare feel to it, than the blitzkrieg type tactics of WWII when military forces were highly mobile and back bases and mains were primary targets and consequently, well defended. Just seems like strategy, battlefield awareness, teamwork and cunning has been replaced with one thing, simple mindless charges between two flags. Agree? Disagree? Opinions? Maybe a different perspective? :uhm:

Well, it is BF, and a MP game, no one takes tactics seriously.....I tend to play alone on MP maps, to look for tactical ways to fight I got the perfect Polish defence on Fall Weiss.

thats the way push maps are meant to be played, u got that alle right ;) and that is also the reason, why not every map is a push map, but those who have to be played that way. nuff said.

I hate how in Stalingrad the only way to win is to charge together. But the idiots charge one by one.

when u make a push map you take the essence of battlefield away. it was meant to be a game where anyone and anything was a target. with the creation of push maps it turns it into a single objective game not much more exciting than single player medal of honor..... imo every time i take a flag in a push map i half expect the game to pause, and movie to show you what you have to do for my next objective.....

Larry loveAs stated above its a mp game noone uses tactics they just go for them selves.

very weak defense of the push maps......the whole game was changed with push maps to make people work together & have a single objective......so now we have a game that is not realistic and players playing by themselves so now it is twice as unrealistic as before

Push maps are better then the "Merry-go-around" maps, people in kubels and gmc's capping rear flags, now thats realism. People will NEVER defend a back flag, because its boring, leaving the way open for rambo players. You can still go behind the lines and flank people, but you just cant grab every flag in sight, it must hurt your score..

Nice argument Raptor. I like the push map style also more than the normal one.

I don't know wich map it is. (a dice africa map) Where the Axis has a uncaptureable base and the britains have 2 lines of outposts and then behind those lines there is their capturable mainbase. ANYTIME NOW REALLY ANYTIME when i play allied and wait at the mainbase, after 30 sec a Kubelwagen shows up, after about 1 min a Hanomag shows up and then comes the first tank to the mainbase. They cap the flag and attack the britains defense lines from both sides... The Pushmap idea is the best u had for 0.67 in my opinion !
