Did a search and couldn't find an answer, soooo, what kind of guns are on the staghound? AA similar to the Vierling? Or just 50cals with a different sound effect?
37mm and an 7.62mm
The Staghound AA has 2 x 12.7mm (.50cal)
so why the different sound effect, and why does it seem more anti-infantry effective than other .50cals?
There are two of them, or am I misunderstanding your question?
and those .50s are firing ap ammo capable of damaging/destroying an ostwind, while its 37mmFlak43 cant even damage the staghound. not to mention the periscopic super point of view 1 m above the turret, compare it to the POV in the SdKfz222 recon/flak vehicle where you are not even able to see obstacles in front of you if you go uphill...
Yeah the Staghound is weird. It should be the same damage model as U.S. .50 cal rounds. I think it WAS Browning .50 cal MGs that were used. It seems to rip apart Ostwinds and can kill Stugs and P4s with enough shots. Ostwinds can't kill StaghoundAAs though, which is 'diculous.
If a panzer lets a staghound get that many shots in, then it deserves to die.
I almost killed a panther with a 20 mm aa gun.
