99% of the times the admins check for themselves if someone is breaking a rule. But other times...I will kick without looking if I think it's obvious (german killing US troops on a US flak in main base while people are saying he's in the main base camping with flak is obvious). If it's not obvious we warn the person and if they dont listen and we see them breaking the rules they're out of there.

Pumpkin probably heard everyone calling you basecamper and such and he looked on the minimap and saw one allied tank in the main base and thought it was you. (like he said).

We won't ever kick you for that new term "gate camping" especially if you're that far away. Now..if you're camping the gate from within it then yes hehe :p

Except you can't see occupied enemy vehicles on the minimap :)

A lot of times on Wolf, I type in "basecamper" not to alert the admin, but to warn teammates to look out when they spawn. Nothing sucks worse than getting killed one second after spawning. I don't intend the message as a whine, but an alert. But, some people are just too whiney. In certain circumstances, it's practically impossible not to spawn/base camp. Say you're in a tank and the flag is in a nearby building. You've got no infantry support. So, while waiting for some assistance, you guard the area and pick of the enemy. It would be stupid to move in with the tank, knowing you'll get ex-packed as soon as you're near the building. I see no problem with this, but some people will whine about it. Also, I do really wish some of the assault maps would lose the uncappable main bases. Either that or lower the tickets. Three, in particular, stand out: Breakthrough, Prokhorovka, and Storm. All three are good maps, but can just plain drag on too long. It sucks to cap all the flags, only to have one sucker slip around the side, cap a rear flag, and unleash a horde of enemy into your rear. And, then you have to start all over a lot of times. In these situations, the maps just drag on and get repetitive. JTM

It is getting a bit rediculous. Last night we had all of the flags on Bocage and I moved across the bridge, found a good spot in the trees and proceeded to hammer allied tanks coming out of their base. I was promptly told to back out of my position. Of course a Sherman got me before I could move, but what is the limit? Are the maps to have a demarcation line you cannot cross now? Is it going to get to the point that you cannot attack the enemy main base? The game is conquest and the object is to deny the enemy access to his resources. I didn't realize that war was supposed to be fair. I agree if the team is so lame as to be pushed back to the main base, then they deserve to get hammered. If your team gets owned then that is the price you pay. Learn to play better. Play as a TEAM. Personally I would like to see the ticket counts reduced. Some of these maps take FOREVER to get through.

Khaine was on my team not the enemy team. We were allied. Several germans began compaining about a spawncamper, and mentioned his name specificially. When I checked minimap, I saw an allied tank in the german base on the airfield.

thats why i play on the 9th infantry server these days, they relized that Base camping/raping was just part of the game, so they allowed it.

9th Infantry is a lame server, people take advantage of the lack of rules. Me and Anlushac11 were playing on there it was on Kursk and there was this one tard who would race into our main base steal a T34-85 and base rape, its all he did, main base raping being allowed is a joke.

If you want to discuss the interesting phenomenon know as 'Gatecamping', go ahead. If you want to complain about servers and admins I will point you to the sticky thread I made about not complaining about servers or admins and I will close this thread.

Its come to my attention that 12 year old AOL'ers/whiney brats really need to leave the gaming community. They drag the game down to a level of 'retardness'

Take me as an example. I'll camp an enemy spawn but 99.9% of the time i'll never shoot unless shot at. Im the man that steals that big tank and leave your team mad. At times I get called a basecamper for that and I never even shoot i'll sit in a corner and just stay still. Its not like in World War II if one side is going blown to bits by air/sea/land and they can go "WTF stop spawn camping its unfair!!!!" Its war, if you cannot keep a single tank out of your base no matter what type of tank it is then your team is just pathetic. If your team is not willing to work as a team then you diserve to get totally destroyed, you should get base camped to death. Me, I chat so much about where armor is going if infantry is near by we will hardly lose. Asking for stuka's to kill a IS-2 or something, telling the guy in the King Tiger theres a T-34 on his left/right side.

People really need to start using teamwork to stop their base from getting camped, or they should just leave the damn game because they cannot cooperate as a team. Yeah at times the skill level of the other team might overpower any teamwork your team can afford but atleast you tried and not just complained.
