It seems a few people (including myself) are having this issue with the passworded torrent file. I downloaded the 2.1-2.15 patch version, and after unpacking it, I get this message part of the way through the patch verification. For me, the details were:

14:44:27: Failing with 'Failed' because: hash_file: fopen failed 14:44:27: Patch suitability verification failed: Failed

I have already uninstalled (I assume completely) a sound mod for FH2 before installing, and have tried after deleting all the shaders from the cache in the BF2 and FH2 folders. Any ideas? I'm torrenting the full version install just in case there's no fix.

I've got the same problem but I don't have any sound mod installed.

Post your logfile.

Generally though this is due to a missing mods/fh2/shaders_client.zip. There will be a backup (er, shaders_client.zip.backup I believe), so copy that to shaders_client.zip and rerun the patch.

I did post it. So basically just rename the file called "shaders_client.zip.backup" to "shaders_client.zip" in order to use the back up? I had to move the original "shaders_client.zip" file in order to do that.

EDIT: So yeah I just did what I wrote above (did I understand you correctly, CTZ?) and it didn't work.

same issue. switching the shader backup file in didn't work.
