But if you expect to get AT weapons, then I don't really see a problem with random loadouts, long as they're all AT variants. Satchels, fausts, schreks, etc., all are AT weapons. Maybe not the one you want, but they all fill the role.

Personally, I get kind of annoyed with the whole "Well, I died just as a tank rolled up, so I'll just spawn back as a fauster." It kind of defeats the whole notion of having to pick a class when you can spawn back almost instantly with the perfect weapon for any job at any given time. Randomizing would remove that ability.

They do not all fill the same 'roll' at all in the sense that matters. While you can say a weapon functions in the ant-tank roll in the sense of destorying tanks, your using it to mean that they all operate the in the same tactical way (killing tanks). Those weapons aren't even close in there tactical application and are not 'variants'. Satchels, rp-atg's, and mines are NOT comprable and are best for different tactical situtaions. The overlap that occurs comes from being able to exploit different facets of a situtaion- something not always possible. If a bunch of troops were gettin overrun ( 'tanks rolled up' ), at class is just what would be coming your way next. The commanding officers in RL are going to try and respond with the perfect weapon a the right time- just exactly what often happens. Thats an ablilty that shoould not be removed, its like asking gettin killed to be removed 'beacuse its annoying'.

Saying that satchels and mines are alike is just the same as saying that a sniper and a machinegun are the similar.

the geballte is great for anti infantry on maps like foy.....but u tend to sucide yourself aswell :D
