Al CaponeCan anyone tell me how to create myself a sound_001.rfa? I want to use a mixture of sounds from different FH sound mods so i can have all the sounds i like ingame. How would i create this? Help is much appreciated.
Extract with WinRFA pick the files you want, then pack them up with WinRFA again (all in the MDK). Rename it to sound_001.rfa and place it in your Mods/fh/archives folder. Make sure to disable the FH Realism sounds. Why I do this mini-mod? Because I love FH too... I play it every day (currently my name is [36GR]S|Capt.SaUrOn) and participate in the BFE-WaW tournament as a Captain of a company of 40 people. I don't do it just for others, I do it for myself as well, I play with it every day and love it :) . BTW, I will have a look into the MG42 sound for the next version!
Al CaponeI did this exactly, but y game won't start up when I do it... any chance sometime after christmas you could do it for me? I have all the sounds in a 44khz folder ready.
sure.. if you havent found i way for it to work yet.
what happens if you try to run the debugger available at EA?
I have to agree with MKH, the old MG34/42 sounds were much more satisfying than the current ones. Other than that, this thing is awesome. I totally love the K98 and the M1 Garand is just totally sweet. btw: It's not possible to change these sounds only right? I fell in love with the old MG34/42 and I'm having hard time to get used to it :p
Yea im sry but this mini mod 1.5 is etchy i dont like the new sounds i think there totally. the only sound i like is the M1 so i went back to 1.0
i think something is wrong with my garand-sound. in first person it sounds as though something breaks. each and every time. it's almost so bad that one worries whether or not to make the next shot, in fear of the rifle shattering to pieces into ones face!
i didn't find anything "wrong" with the MG34-sound, and i don't think anything was weird about the 42 either. i only heard the 3rd person 42, but i got a bit of hands-on experience with the 34.
I tested it out last night on Saipan and Nordwind and I'd have to say, simply amazing.
I like the sounds altogether, even before I never really liked the new K98 sound but this time it's perfect.
I don't mind the MG42, it still sounds lethal to me. Also, I think I noticed some realistic skins on the Tiger I in Nordwind, it had unit numbers marked on the back of the turret. Now, I couldn't see if anything else was added to it cause I was in a deathcam but still, VERY NICE!
Again, Merry friggin' Christmas! :D
Still, i'd rather have the mg42 sound as in 1.0, much more "mg42ish" (the buzz-saw).
