Has anyone tested what the reload times for tanks in FH are? I'm sure someone has. Am too tired to use the search function to find out. Just wondering whether the Russian tanks are slower in shots fired per minute than their German counterparts. They should be. Whatever niceties the T34, for example had, it had a lousy 2 man (instead of 3 man) turret where the commander had to double up as a loader in very cramped conditions. Couple that with worse guns optics and gun penetration rates and it's no wonder the T34s were knocked out so often by tanks that were "inferior" to them...yes, they were in terms of speed/armor perhaps. But in terms of battlefield performance. take care, LaDigue PS. discussion on the topic here http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54025

A PzIVH fires a lot faster than T34 in FH, and that's a fact. With a lot more powerful gun and two, three times stronger armor than its russian counterpart's, it leaves as the winner most of the time.

Yeah I know it has ├╝berarmor. But that's another story. A PZIV should fire 2-3 times faster than a T34. That's about right. Just found out that...get this...a JS-II with its "way too large 122mm gun and huge shells for a relatively cramped turret"...could fire 2-3 shots a minute whereas a Panther could do 8-12. Shermans even more. Get that...geez...4-6 times more shells flying in the direction of the JS2 than in the direction of the Panther. I'd much rather have the Panther with 75mm shells that weigh less than half than JS2 shells but still penetrate pretty well. Throw in better optics and you have a winner. ;) LaDigue
