forget the smacktards, the base rapers, the "last flag" spawnraping chickens "pretending" to wait for support, the snipers that don't call for arty, the n00bs, the racists, the foul-mouthed mental retards because most of them get kicked pretty quickly by the quality admins on the good servers (wolf, fear, frag the net etc thx guys!) what spoils the game the most for me is the response to the accidental TK's that happen during EVERY game ie u turn a flag white a millisecond after someone throws a grenade at it, or you are in an enemy tank and your own pilot bombs you or a friendly tank comes around a corner and mows you down and the response is "IDIOT" "watch wtf you are doing" "omg how stupid are you????" etc etc now i know how irritating it can be, BUT WE ALL TK, we ALL do, i have lost count how many times someone has typed something like that to me and i have lost count how many times 1min later or 2mins or 10mins later the same guy who was so obnoxious then accidently tk's someone! and its very differcult not to type something back to them just to point it out. although i have moaned and occasionally lose my temper at certain things like snipers not spotting arty or flyers that can't fly, KT drivers bailing out of a damaged tank etc (anyone remember me moaning about the ju52 door on crete map on wolf? ;) ) those aren't the same as an accidental TK. if i get tk'ed after running round the edge of a flag for 5 mins just to cap a back flag before getting snipered or bombed or arty'ed by a team-mate i just type back "np" and if they apologise i ALWAYS FTK, i have never ever made someone feel bad for accidently tk'ing me. just remember how embaressing it is when you tk someone, how dumb it makes you feel particually when the guy u tk'ed was capping a flag or was in a tank that u just blew up, when that happens do u really need someone to point out what happened to the entire server (i don't believe most people "forget" to hit L before typing, i think they hit K to make it more public, most "np's" etc happen on L, ever noticed?). sorry for this post, but its been bugging me for a while to the point i made notes last night (i can't believe it either! lol) i played for 3 hours (and i am an average skilled player) i tk'ed 4 times, twice with arty, 1 nade, 1ppsh and 3 times someone typed back something sarcastic or just plain rude, but ALL 4 then went on to tk on the same map before that particular game ended wtf! during that time i was tk'ed 9 times (and i shouted at my monitor 9 times) but 9 times i typed "np" and 7 times i FTK'ed. also a few times the accidental tk'ing resulted in some flaming back and forth which kinda spoils the atmosphere for me. i guess what i am trying to say is, if u play on the good servers the idiots tend to get kicked fast so any other tk's are probably accidental from plain bad luck or a momentary lack of thought so could we just type back "np" and rant in private or to your clan team mates on a private TS channel? all the best to everyone anyway, cya around :)
Wow. Ever heard of paragraphs?
ya i know lol, i did actually type it out correctly, i dunno what happened, sorry about the way it looks!
You should let the "message box" end the lines instead of pressing enter at the end of every line. Only use enter for making paragraphs.

it-hurts-my-eyes ahhh *drops dead* ps: you can edit your post and add some paragraphs. [/edit]
maybe the typo is not ok, but I agree with Rum's post :)
TKing and smack talk are a part of the game. It just wouldn't be as fun without friendly fire or the ability to verbally abuse complete strangers from the safety of one's own home.
I agree what you say about TKs... I do tend to lose my temper when I end up being TKed in an idiotic situation, like I drive towards a friendly Soviet flag with a T34 and then an allied tank there decides to shoot me, because I must've been an enemy tank attacking because I was coming there! Mindblowing.
But one thing is that the smacktards really don't get kicked all that quick. They did on Wolf usually, but on the European servers... it's very rare anyone gets kicked when they should. Too bad, since I don't want to play on Wolf anymore due to the higher ping.
Despite formating , he's got a good point. Friendly Fire happens. Heck, I remember reading about the 6th or 8th airforce (one of the two) actually bombed the crap out of a US infantry battalion in Italy for 3 straight days! That's how long it took for the word to get back to US Army command and then transfered over to Aircorp and down to the pilots.
I use my minimap alot to check. But even then, some times things get confused. Especially around a Flag when the graphic for the flag covered up the friendly arrow hiding behind the sandbags that I just threw a nade at LOL. Or if I am in a tank and in a really heated fire fight with multiple enemy tanks rolling everwhere and suddenly that enemy panzer crests the bridge while I am squeezing off rounds as soon as they load... BOOM. Only to find out that it was a friend that just stole that Panzer from the enemy base.
Or when you are opening up with that MG towards an enemy possition and that guy jumps out of your periferial (sp?) vision and into the stream of death. Or you simply misjudge that arty shot that falls short (BTW: this NEVER happened in RL combat! ;) ).
And there are hundreds of other reasons. But it's fairly easy to know if the TK was intentional or not. And 90% of the time, it was an accident. And I say, let it go. The guy that did the TK is probably already feeling bad about it. What does calling him an idiot do really?
Now I will rail endlessly on one of my close friends for TKing me. Like Avro, CapJaps, GruntThirsty and a bunch of the other WAW guys. But that is just because it gives me a cheap and shallow reason to make fun of my friends LOL. And they do the same to me. But none of it is done in malice. For what is the point at the end. Just accept that there was a FF incident and move on.
I guess I wanted to talk about this subject as I am an admin on our WAW server and one of the big things I have to warn people about is when they start verbally attacking other players. And 9 times out of 10 it is due to a FF accident. And half the time, it leads me to having to kick the guy that got killed because he will not let it drop; which is no fun for anyone on the server. No fun for the guy that got kicked, for me for having to kick someone, or the rest of the players for having the game interupted with lots of useless chat about it all.
So, I agree. Just let it go. Remember, in BF, you get to respawn!
You steal enemy equipment then those are the risks you take, expecially when you re in a tank melee. Depending on the scale you have your mini map on, you could be engaging tanks that are off the map. Since you can engage targets as soon as you see them, and most times before the tags show up, there is always that FF possibility. Personally, I will shoot first and ask questions later. It still sucks though when some idiot runs through your line of fire or charges a point you are shelling without calling for a lifting of fire and you get kicked for a TK.
