I think what you encountered tvih was the odd clipping bug that BF has. I once attempted to reload my ZIS on Berlin Outskirts with an APC, nudged it slightly and my vehicle went spinning 30feet or more into the air, much to the amusement of the other artillery operators.
i think silent heroes fixed the jumpy barbwire
Must admit it is funny to watch... when it's someone else's tank and not mine anyway.

patillain a magazine i saw that german officers saw Tigers and King tigers flying more than 4 or 5 meters and fall overturned, only getting a hit at 30 meters from the normandy naval destroyers cannons but the best we could do in the destruction of a tank animation is, if posible, blow the turret when tank is destroyed
I am skeptical of a 5" shell (about 126mm) blowing a Tiger through the air)
Now a main gun from the US Batleships off Normandie I can easily see them tossing tanks around tanks in the air at once. IIRC most were 14" or 16" and thats around 360mm to 410mm cannons.
I dont know if its true but I have a book that told a story of a German very heavy vehicle (book said Jgdtiger) in Italy that was hit by a Cruisers 8" gun shell in the front armor. The tank went silent but wasnt penetrated. A few days later someone cut the hatch open and looked inside.
The 8" crusier shell had not penetrated but it had spalled off a huge section that had shattered into supersonic micro fragments. Only remains of the crew was a pink jelly looking substance coating the inside of the vehicle.
^Woah to the pink jelly inside the tank must have been a nasty clean up.
My god anlushac. Thats horrible and crazy at the same time.

Hahaha! That is so true. The tank is more lethal dead than alive.
I'd like to see both, the jumping tanks and bouncing wrecks fixed too. Not only they look much better, are much realistic and you don't have a risk to get killed in the process when killing them.
I'd like to see the following animation when a tank gets destroyed: Flames and huge cloud of smoke bursts from its engine block, the tank rolls some meters forward and stops. That would be extermely nice.

So you're saying because of the magic pink jelly inside, that tanks bounce. I'll go along with that explanation, you're usually right on everything else. :)
