Hey guys...was just playing on GoldBeach and was waiting in the rear flag in the little observation tower just behind the flag (where the sniper kit spawns). As a good I hit the USE key and suddenly was using the spotlight situated on the tower. It had a damage meter and I could turn it from side to side, but apart from that it seemed a little useless unless Gold were to become some sort of night map. Is there a use for this? Or was it just something fun to put in there to see if it worked?

That's been there for a long time. BF42 doesn't support dynamic lighting so there's no real use for it. Maybe it will be funtional if/when FH ports to BF2.

For now it should shoot an electric charge of death at any base campers. ;) Edit: Hydraslav I think anyone whose played Battlefield long enough to download Fh or know enough about computers to do so is stupid enough to do that.

Is that like the Bocage hack, where you flick the power switch off just as you take off in the B17 to unlock the 50 megaton nuclear bomb?

yup. although there's an even better german E-bomb (experimental) on the Ju-88. you jump in, fly high above the battle and release the bomb. the trigger is the red switch-button on the rear of your computer close to the exhaust fan. the bomb will only kill enemy vehicles and units (including allied AA-bunkers on BoB, btw).

WARNING: only works with the Ju-88's that has a red beacon in the co-pilot seat!! if you do it in any of the others you might corrupt your hard drive!!

While it may seem like a joke please do not give out false information to people asking for advice or help. The person asking the question mayor may not know its a prank but someone who happens to be browsing through GF may read this and not know any better.
