I was brousing through the archives on the FH website, and came across a disturbing fact. There are so many things that were modeled and skinned a long time ago, yet never saw action. My question to you devs is, why?
NOTE: Obvisouly some arent skinned, but the models still look great. Nearly all featured here are from the fabeled "Road to .6" era.
DUKW "Duck" Amphibious Truck
7TP Machine Gun Tank
Mors Submachine gun
KV2 Heavy Tank
Panzer V Panther Ausf G
CG-4A Hadrian Glider
Archi Type 99 "Val' Skins
Willys MB "Jeep"
There were also various other pre .6 models and skins that didnt make it in until .65, such as the Wellington bomber.
Stop talking about .5! You're gunna make me cry. I think the way the mod played back then was the best..it will be missed.

You've never used the mors? its main polish smg now.
Ive seen that jeep too.
well for one that jeep, im quite sure is on sector 318. More importantly, there is substantail more work then just the skin and model to having it in game, it needs to be imported and and coded and it needs a map to go on. And if were going to listen to the people the think FH is some sort retail game which they bought, ridiculous of amounts of extensive bug testing and play testing.
Most of those models are in-game now. Polish tank, KV2, Mors SMG, Jeep, all in-game. Where have you been.
ya the KV2 is in game now, its on Valirisk
...
what?
im confused. 80% of the stuff there is ingame..
The Polish tank, gun, russian KV 2 and german Panther G are already in game, or sorry it could be Panther D?, anyhoo, the Polish tank & gun are in on Fall Weis.
Getting something into a BF mod isn't that hard, it's like a few minutes work, a day of tweaking after that. Getting a skin into a BF mod is like 1 minutes work. I'd agree with the balance testing though, but some people think coding (more like scripting IMO) is harder then it actually is.
McGibs, thats exactly the idea. All that stuff was done quite a long time ago, yet either just got in, or isnt in yet.
