So, um, what class is going to get that shotgun that was in the announcements? I hope it's not going to an assault class, like BFV did. I like the fact that we're getting one, though. (Although I would have prefered an Ithaca M37, it really doesn't make that much of a difference).

Go Ithaca. I live there and get to see the words Ithaca Gun on their old smokestack every day. Unfortunately the original company went under a few years back, but a couple revived the named and some of the original designs are being made about 15 miles north of here.

Great guns.

Possible answers:

Shotgun will most likely be a pickup kit. They were not standard issue firearms. Shotgun will most likely be featured in the Pacific theater in moderate numbers, and perhaps an occasional kit elsewhere.

As for the style and brand, with shotguns, they're all pretty much the same. Winchester/Ithaca/Benelli/etc, they all fire 12 guage shells (nowadays) and all are meant for the same purpose. I like the Winchester personally, since it just sounds cool.

I'd expect to see the shotgun about as much as the Drum clip Tommygun.

The shotgun will most likely be randomized into the marine engineer, or close combat classes.

No offence but.. Either a medium range carbine or a short range shotgun, thats a big difference. And really, how much close quarters fighting goes on in pacific maps? I, as in *me*. would like to see it in close quarters only..

Ha. Shotguns were standard issue. Viva Benelli, best production gun money can buy. Love my Montefletro 12L.
