I'm guessing it will depend on the server. Since they have the ultimate power to use it or not. But I might be wrong.

I seriously hope not, even thought it's already quite rare of hearing people using voip across Battlefield 2, I really hope it doesn't get included on FH2.

I can't express how anoying it is when your playing and a 12 year old cusses the server high and low about losing, talks endlessly on how he liked the movie Private Ryan or even worse; starts making noises ( farts, burbs, or other words that are best discribed immature screams ).

I suggest that the people who really want to use this feature go and download teamspeak, Forgotten Hope has a excellent teamspeak channel for use and you can talk and meet with more people then you could ever with BF2.

+ Polska is seen there from time to time as well, which is another big ''Do'' for getting Teamspeak ;)

Yeah, VOIP is used by 12 year old kiddie commanders 90% of the time. The first time I heard it was when a child was trying to order me across the map to attack a spawn. You can always turn VOIP off so all you see is the VOIP light on the side of the screen. Thats what I did and no its not an issue.

And then is when you wish teleport exist so you can get yourself behind the kid and slap him to dead.

I agree with you.

I always find it very enjoyable to play with voice over IP. Sure, you have 12 year old whining about whatever, but most people are just like me, who make good used of this great function. Communication is so much easier if everyone doesn't need to take 10 seconds away from the game to type a message. I can remember many occasions where fast communication has saved my life. FH2 will have Voice Communication just like BF2 and any other BF2 mod.

I'm with Polska/Drifter/JaMan. I sincerely hope FH servers turn it off and let people rely on something external, like Ventrilo or Teamspeak, which give you more granular control over your communications (and IMHO have better transmission quality.)

Why not? You can block the annoying people. I don't think it works because only your squad will hear it, but if everyone could hear it on your team. A button to talk to all like in Half-Life would be also nice..

When BF2 wasn't released I thought it's going to be very nice feature to FH2. Like tank team using it on a public server or tailgunners to pilot. But I was dissapointed when people didn't use it in vanilla BF2. It can work in FH, because the game is more realistic. In FH you could actually communicate with the tank crew, unlike in BF2 where you can get destroyed by grenades..

No, leave it in. The people that find it annoying can disable it themselves, its that simple.
