For 2.15 I have fixed kit limiting in single player mode. Previously it simply did not apply. This thread is a simple question, as above.
I always loved being able to just take every weapon you can. Otherwise you get the problem that the bots always have the limited weapons.
Its nice for practicing around with the weapons.
It's realy interesting for me because old kit limiting system caused some bugs in singleplayer(I told about it in "Problem with mines" thread in bug reporting") Is it working for bots too?
I don't see why there'd be a need for kit limiting in singleplayer, as the goal is to have fun. Kit limiting is made so no one team all goes around with SMGs, right? And bots spread out pretty even among the classes anyway, so adding kit limitation to singleplayer would just give the player fewer choices.
I say yes and no. ;)
Being able to chose freely in SP would be hardly exploitable by a human player, it would be great fun and allow for practising those kids which an unlucky fellow might always miss in MP. But ofcourse having all bots walking around with one type of kit would suck. Basically: Let the human get first choice and the bots can fight over the remaining weapons that are available.
I have no opinion but sure do love to click buttons!
I'm a little torn between yes in no... (though I sided with yes) I do agree that singleplayer should allow you to practice with all the weapons and if you can't select a kit because a bot has it, it sortta defeats the purpose... but it's always annoyed me that every single bot seams to be running around with an Anti-Tank rifle... Aside from destroying the immersion factor by having an army of anti-tank soldiers , I can also see it being more of a problem in later theaters like Normandy, where anti-tank kits are more devastating... so if limiting the kits makes more bots choose the rifleman kit than I’m all for it... It also makes sense if singleplayer is meant to be a testing ground for multiplayer that the same rules apply in both... And hey, you can always kill someone and take his kit in singleplayer without suffering the repercussions you would online. :P
Nah, then the bots take them all.
I voted yes, but I hope that the limiting can only be applied to the bots so that the player can still choose whatever kit they like, but you don't end up with 1/4 of the bots as anti-tank and no engineers. (as seems to happen on my games)
