Have you played Fall Weiss on the German side?

I would like to see more moving spawn points, such as some special trucks or APCs. In many maps there are areas where there are no flags but a village or some houses. With a moving spawn point you could make that place your camp. What do you think about that?

O'm not too keen on the idea, it will put a lot of people off as it would take ages to get to where the action is. Maybe just in one map, but not all of them!

Sounds like the mission series style bases. That system was actual pretty nice.

Maybe the current spawn points could be moved around a bit, or more added to decrease the chances of being killed when you spawn?

I think it would give the game more realism because reinforcements have to come from somewhere and not magically appear at that point.

It also would force a diffrent type of gameplay, wich will also be more realistic.

But it will change the game too much for many people, and they will not like it.

Take Fall Weiss for example.....as long as German side has captured no flag, they must travel to enemy flags wich aren't exactly near the German base neither. Many players hate that map with a passion, especially in larger servers wich means 80 % of the time there are no vehicles and you will have to run that distance......only to be kiled when you arrive and then run that distance again. Nice map (not)

Yeah, it'd be interesting to try, but it'd require a total overhaul of player strategies and playing styles. I'd love to see APCs used more often than they are, but this ain't the way to do it.

Also, consider that you'd need to SERIOUSLY work as a team in order to take and hold flags, and this would mean real coordination between ground and air units as well. I mean, on a map like El Al, think how much you'd need to protect your ground units from enemy air power. Mobile AA, top-mounted MGers on tanks and APCs, etc., you'd have to use it all and travel in a group to provide maximum protection. A lovely ideal, but no way it's happening outside of clan play using teamspeak or a similar program.

Nice idea, but too easy to exploit. I remember back in Secret Weapons of World War II, when you could spawn in the C-47. Realistically, the pilot would fly us over the enemy base and we'd jump out and parachute into it. Instead, pilots would land the plane behind the enemy base, allowing an Allied spawn point right outside the German camp, meaning the Germans would get owned pretty quickly. Unfortunately, when given a choice of playing realistically and playing to win, many seem to prefer playing to win. I can already imagine 2 apcs outside enemy main base, with constant spawning of soldiers to spawn camp that base.......

Maybe it would be good for a separate category of game, just for clan matches. In those games flags cause bleed but don't work as spawn points.
