I just noticed that it is possible to spam stationary machineguns. The theory had been in my mind since 0.65 was released but now I actually tried does it work. Here is the trick: Deploy a stationary MG from a pickup kit, go near it but DO NOT USE IT! You will soon get new one reloaded but the old one stays on the ground. Here are some pictures I took at SemperFi server: Pic 1: 4 mgs I deployed from on kit + one in my hand Pic 2: Same from different direction Pic 3: MGs started to disappear after a while but there was enough time to man them. Here someone has manned one and shot a couple of shots with it. So... Exploit or a tactic? Like this it would be possible to make great defences (not impossible to defeat but a bit harder)... :naughty:

All it takes is a sniper to pop those heads but untill the allies figure that out they are going to get hell :naughty:

This reminds me of the early GC versions when you could deploy endless with machine guns and the server would start to lag incredibly after a dozen and crash

Wow. I had no idea that existed. Well that will definatly have to be fixed soon or else people will start abusing it.

Well, how about putting 20 on an important bridge? Would be difficult for a tank to cross it.

Seriously though, I guess this not very well known yet. Delete the thread please. And hope it will be fixed with the next patch.

i already reported this on the private forum, then i was informed this was intentional since the other way didn't work most of the time. i questioned whether this new solution was a good one, but didn't get a reply. so yea feature, not bug i guess!

I honestly think stationary MGs are a little too weak. We should be able to "turn" more with the MG or it's just too plain hard to use it effectively IMO.
