Hey people! :talker: Just a quick Stuggie question regarding the next patch. Will the sights be fixed in it? Along with the gun maybe so that it can reach the ground a little lower (if it did). I just find myself always using it these days so Im wondering thats all. Also while Im asking the patch questions, will the TigerE's frontal armour values be fixed? Seems a little weak these days when Cromwells blow it up in a few hits. Oh and the Panther too, I swear to God ive been killed by 1 shot with a Sherman by those (and not the 105, or Firefly). Other than that... Any plans for a Nashorn? Pz3? Both the 3.7cm and 5cm?
i can only tell u, that the stug can now aim and shoot at the ground like 15 meters in front of it. the rear has been upped. the other questions: dunno :)
If I've understood some readings correctly, the StuG's gun should be able to depress six degrees. I'm not sure if it currently depresses that much? Still, if you don't have a machine gunner and the enemy infantry gets close, chances are you'll be expacked within the next five seconds... :uhm:
thats why you use it as its intended role, its not an assault tank, stay back from front line action and fire from a nice grouping of trees, that thing is devistating if you keep back a little ways and hide.
i would like to see more depression on the gun. its really hard to hit something far away when your on a very very slight incline. i almost exclusivly drive stuGs when im on axis, i love the tank and have gotten pretty good with it.
Yeah, that's how I try to use it, and most of the time I'm quite effective, but sometimes the infantry sneaks up on you, and sometimes you need to try and capture flags in a StuG. Can't really jump to the MG too often in such occurences, because chances are you get shot and the StuG is lost to the enemies :uhm:
Thing is, the gun needs a little depression because I always find myself aiming to high when Im climbing a hill with it and than something happens like:
"Vroom (Sherman or T34 approches on top of hill) Vroooom, Squeek... (moment of silence as I panic and try to drop my dun down an inch)... Pow, Pow, Pow, BOOOOOM!"
And by that time Im dead. I guess the moral of the story is dont climb hills, but when you play crappy maps like Bocage you kinda need a little high ground to scope out the GI's and Comrades.
Tiger's frontal armor weak? It can take tens of hits from Shermans, what I've tested. The tank itself is near invulnerable to Cromwells and such.
:uhoh: ....i just read there were a staggering 10548 StugIII/IV made during the war.....
That is more numerous then Panzer IV or Panzer III tanks in all variations........
There are already FH maps with several Stug in them, but i guess these numbers suggest they should even be more common.
Here's the rest of it.......a surprising number of Hetzer tankdestroyers. Numbers suggest it defenatly should be in FH.

get at a high spot on maps like kharkov in the stug and rape the russian base.
It would be nice if we would get a stug3g with camo that fits with the other tanks and a version with sideskirts. But what's the difference between stug3g and stug4?
