The StuggIIIG has a 7.5cm gun, correct? Then how come in the optics the lettering on the right says 8.8cm? I am sure the devs used the same optics from tanks with the 88s. It should be changed though.
I assume it's not easy to find the correct optics for each tank otherwise they would have already done this.
but there are already vehicles with 7.5cm optics : ) if nothing else it could be photoshopped so that the unknowing doesn't think that his StuG is armed with an 8.8 L/71.... :p
Stug III Ausf. B had the Sfl.ZF 1 / Rblf 32 Optics Stug III Ausf. G had the Sfl.ZF 1a / Rblf 36 Optics
Haven't got any pictures.

I witnessed someone else do this before. I think its time to hand out another "I didn't read the entire post before replying" award. The 8.8 cm is the only one they made I'm thinking. I think the 7.5 is on tanks like the Panther obviously because it has that really small triangle to aim with. The sight with the larger triangle has the 8.8. I just don't think they made one for it that meets its specs.
Do assault guns/TD's have significantly different optics than tanks?

I would think so. Although it might not be. I'm guessing that TD's would have more detailed optics for range and lead of a target that are designed to fire while stopped. Tanks on the other hand might have sights with dampners to keep them from shaking to enable targeting while on the move. Just a shot in the dark here though.
Where WW2 tank able to shoot effectively on the move? I doubt it...
they sure as hell tried
Didnt the Sherman have some sort of gyroscope thing, enabling it to fire on the move much more easily?
