Yah, I know that devs dropped the subject of adjusting suppression effect long time ago and don't want to hear about it. Very bad choice if you ask me. No, no - I'm not writing this to ask them for any changes in this cace (tho they could reconsider the whole thing :naughty:), I just want to bitch about something. Seat back and enjoy.

Now when FH2 gameplay came to a point of fairly good teamwork within squads and VoIP is not a tool of fear anymore, the lack of suppression effect just takes away a new dimension of gamplay. We can argue whether it's realistic (trendy word lately) or historically accurate (whatever it means i this case) - but that's not the point. The point is the possibilities it gives.

Ordering your MG user to lay fire "on the windows" while the rest of squad attacs adds immersion and feeling of awesomness. Secondly, having superior firepower is just that, having superior firepower. No longer we would have to sneak around a defender when the odds are 3:1 for attacking side. Sure flanking is the most effective tactic but I'll be damned if riding in a kubel around the battlefield was seen in WWII.

I still try to use this tactic but it's sooo frustrating when spraying at a window I see an enemy with "protect the queen at all costs, I'll be back in 20 sec anyway" expression on his face followed by my death.

Over'n'out.

/bitching backup Bump - for great justice! Schneider agrees! He is of the opinion that killing the suppression effect killed a nice tactical option out of the game. Especially, he knows very well was Kubador describes in his example. He really hates it, because it has a distinct arcadish touch about it when people play like that..

Agreed too, plus I would like to have also a suppression effect for SMGs and rifles :)

Yeah, I agree.

It seems the only current real suppression device is the "snapping" or "cracking" of bullets whizzing past you.

Cool, now go and tell all this to the hordes of players, most of them old FH1 diehard veterans, that even resorted to the personal insults against the FH devs due the supression effect.

No thank you

Well I consider myself as FH1 vet. Also - since when did you start to bother with personal insults Lobo, what happened with that thick skin of yours?

In my opinion suppressing fire would be a great improvement to the overall FH2 experience.
