Indeed Niebler is right. I seem to get suppression effect when movng around but it seems to vanish when I go to ironsights. I can't remember the last time I've seen anykind of suppression while aiming.

Maybe just take away ironsights and stamina when suppressed? That and greatly increase the cone of fire....

I would not take away stamina as a suppression effect, if anything I would increase stamina during suppression. If you were running across an open area and bullets started flying past you, can you think of any reason you would slow down and not push every muscle you have to get to cover faster?

This is why I vote for camera shake instead of blur, lets be honest, what would be the first thing you do when you get shot at? Flinch, or Duck.

I was always under the impression that the suppression blur was there to show suppression, and to "imitate" like your soldier is squinting his eyes.

The thing is that bullets (from SMG and MG especially) are now used only to kill and nothing else. Yeah, I know it's Captain Obvious's line but hey, it has sense. People were mostly firing in general direction of enemy position and coincidence (some call it god) took care of the rest.

It was a simple equation: I stick my neck out while bullets crack nearby, I will most likely die = bad. Surely not worth killing some bad guys.

In a game scenario it looks more less like this: I stick my neck out while bullets crack nearby, I will most likely die = what do I care. Taking some frags - totally worth it!

So if we want to bring some kind of suppression effect, in other ways than increased blurr (damn those low-end PCs), we have bring that equation to the original (and realistic) state. Loosing accuracy looks like a good suggestion but how the hell to implement it, I have no idea.

Side note: Blurr made you loose accuracy.

I was just thinking of bunny hopping with regards to stamina, I agree you need to be able to run and dive for cover but we end up with people jumping around. Maybe make jumping once deplete stamina or something. I still like the idea of removing ironsights when suppressed to keep people from getting off accurate shots at medium to long range.

bumping to show my agreement to the return of the supression effect .

futher more , add supresion effect to every kind of bullet , except maybe pisols .

even futher more , make the supression effect trigger only when the bullet has traveled some distance (and here comes the phrase everyone was especting) like PR.

i know , my enlgish rocks :)

Oh yeah, some distance like in FH2, no wonder, because the PR supression effect was donated to them by us

The next time you beat a dead horse, please do your reserch, thank you!

Suppression effect by any weapon except a knife, please. If a grenade went off near me I would be pretty damn suppressed, as well as with a pistol. also, if a cannon fired can standing near the muzzle lead to one, such as standing next to a tank gun when it fires. And suppression during artillery bombardment would be cool.
