I have seen this discussed in some other threads but I have never seen an answer to this question. Doesn't it seem like the intent of the mapmaker that it would take the same amount of people to gray a flag as it would to cap the flag? If your answer to this is yes, then the next question is this possible? If so, I think it should be implemented. One guy jumping in a jeep and driving around graying flags is idiotic.

1. If I remember correct, it is impossible to make it take multiple people to gray a flag. 2. This will not be a problem in BF2.

I hate to disagree with ya on this one Chief. It is a great stratagy to be able to grey a flag keeping your counter part from respawning. It works great in League play, especially if it takes two or more to re-cap grey flag.

Yeah, so you would just have to make a point to attack the flags with two or three peeps as it was meant to be, right? No more bailing on a flag with no intent to cap, just to gray and die. It sounds like it's not possible to make it take multiple peeps to gray but I'll bet it if was then the mapmakers would have made them match. It just makes logical sense...3 to cap, 3 to gray.

I understand the tactic in league play. If you all want to try to manipulate the system to pull a win against difficult opponents, be my guest. But in pub play its counterintuitive to the spirit of the map. Anyways, wont be a problem in FH2.

You should see how we steal/defend the flag in CTF mode. :naughty:

I agree, its really annoying to have the rambo grey a flag, you head over with another guy to kill him, then it seems you need three to cap. And clan play.. its just a competition of who can exploit the games flaws the best.

Like in Nordwind or Omaha map match play or pub play the spirit of the game is to win and I think greying a flag to keep your enemy from spawning till you find the straglers works for me. It also encourages team play if you need 2 or 3 to re cap that flag and if your on a pub game it may be hard to do if no one is paying attention. It only makes you wiser to stratagies not an exploit. Having one person to grey a flag not a problem here.:uhm: More FH CTF maps would be nice!!!

1. Major Hartmann does the impossible (sometimes with some help). 2. Dunno Anyway I don't think BF2 will be the walhalla of modding eventhough everything looks really interesting sofar I still don't expect a same sort of modability as ut2004 for instance.

Can you make the 3 person flags gray under 1 person, but as soon as they're killed the flag will return to its normal owner?
