Komrad_BRestrictive terrain is horrible for allied tanks and balance... The proof is Valirisk. Without the Migs, the 2 Tigers can be litterally invulnerable. Prokorovka can manage to be balanced even with the ridiculously large number of german heavy tanks because the T34 have enough space to be able to flank.

On the other hand, I actually prefer "shoot & scoot" in hills/forests. Open terrain's only good for me if I have something fast and light (Puma, Daimler, and HOPEFULLY A FIXED GREYHOUND!) :-)

FuzzyBunnyAbsolutely. He just so pisses me off so much sometimes that I can't help but get mad at him--same as many of the Denledefi guys. Technically good players, can be quite decent people online, but JEEZ.

;) Thanks! And, no, I won´t destroy tanks anymore :D

Greyhound reminds me... Once I killed a Panther on Sector 318 with a Greyhound. An ignorant driver didn't even know how to use the F11 key so he never knew who killed him. I got up behind him and started pouring shot after shot into his rear. He would turn his turret back and forth, but I always sideslipped in the opposite direction and he never even saw me. It took like half my ammo, but he died eventually. And at the time, I think he was even a basecamper-to-be, since he was heading toward the allied airfield, either going to steal a plane or camp. My best tanking maps would be Prokhorovka or Sector 318, sicne it's where 3 different countries get to pull out the big guns, so to speak.

I like tanks. :nodding: Maps I like for tanking are:
Prokhorovka 1943 Operation Goodwood 1944 Kharkov Outskirts 1943 Nancy Operation Aberdeen
Desert maps make nice tanking country but if they have planes, it's hard to hide from good pilots.

No, the tank battles in Orel are rarely more than a straitforward affair. Even with the BT7 there is not enough room to properly flank and with the AT's on rooftops not even the Tiger is free to tank battle. Generaly what happens is the Elefant moves some where, and whatever is in front of it dies a horrible horrible death until such time as the air wing takes it out. All the tank battles are of the strait forward affiar, trading shot for shot hopeing the other one bails first.

The late war years I find also have the better tanking mpas, because of the better tanks you can use in them. Russian Maps also tend to be more tank orientated since, they were the country that made more tanks then everytone put together (or so it would seem). Combine that with the general eastern front terrain, which is lightly forrested terrain and grassy farmland plains. This combination has resulted in some of the most awesome and brutal tank battles of WW2. FH has recreated the atmosphere of them beautifully.
