Recently I've been playing more and have noticed that some tanks (specifically the PIVF2) have some serious deviation in where the shell lands now. At first I thought it was just my aiming was off but then I tested the sights against a house at medium distance and noticed the shell lands all over the place. I was wondering if maybe Hartmann coded in this feature? If so, It really can ruin you day since you get the first shot off at long range and would score a hit but instead your shell hits a hill 10 feet in front of the target. I've only noticed this with certain tanks but any info would be great. Edit: since this is a tank based thread.... any word on when the KV-1 will get the L/40 barrel? Doesnt seem to hard a fix.
I have had these problems for a while now, my shells are hitting sometimes randomly...
The only explanation I can think if is that the animation is too short for the recoil, so when you fire the gun, the gun thinks its still in recoil
I loved that feature in FH two version back. Didn't really notice ... or maybe i didn't pay attention to it in 0.65, but if it's back in 0.66, then great!
It's a realism mod! You want your PzIII? I want shells to deviate at long distance due to mechanical inconsistencies. Keep it and put it on other tanks too.
I wouldn't mind that, as long as it's actually intended.
Lol, guys, the guns are not dead on accurate at least since 0.6. In 066 there was no significant change, only just some minor fixes like Tiger devitation reduced slightly. (15% IRC)
Edit: The longer the gun, the less devitation. That's why PIVD gun is that inaccurate.
I guess you could also interpret online latency as intended inaccuracy.

I would call that "a soldier's slower reaction time due to hunger and lack of sleep" :D
Well back in .6 the PIVF2 had great accuracy. Now it seems when I use it the shell lands anywhere within a a cm of the target (I also know the sights not dead on but I learn where the shell actaully fires and use that spot). I'm not talking about the PIVD or StugIIIB, I'm talking about the PIVF2 that shouldnt really have this problem since it has a damn PaK40 strapped to it. IMO it messes things up abit because it brings to much more luck into tanking.

Considering that right now tanking is a 1 shot kill business, a little bit of a "wildfactor" luck is nice
I don't have a problem hitting things at extremely long range. There's a little bit of deviation, but its not a big deal.
