I'm not a BF1942 coder, nor a modder, but I do know enough that as a modder, you work with what you have and can't create stuff out of material that doesn't exist. Case in point, there are some things people clamor for in FH that I'm sure simply can't be done due to limitations with the SDK and/or the engine itself. With that being said, I suggest this thread be used by the FH staff to post stuff they know people want that they can't do. I'm 99% sure there is nothing they can do about making vehicles unstealable by the enemy, for example.

about the vehicles being unstealable...

XWW2 did it in their Battle of the Bulge map, and it works great! So that point is wrong. But I do get what your saying, and it might calm the masses to let them know what cant't be done.

It would be nice, but it might not happen. Also many things are possible that would just make the game lag like hell, run slow, or have so many bugs it would be too pointless.

ACTUALLY, it can be done... In BC 42, when adding the vehicles, on the bottom, an option for the vehicle set is "Teamon" and its either 0, for no, or 1, for on. Essentially, this means that by being 0, it CAN be stolen, while when its on 1, it CANNOT be stolen

This also appears to have been done in Battlefield: Vietnam, as I've many times capped an NVA who drove up in a GAZ, but was unable to take the GAZ afterward.

Making a vehicle unstealable is already coded into the game. Ever think why the japanese cant steal american ships? Same principle could be used.

Why is everyone always so opposed to taking whats left there? For example...if you cap a flag, but an enemy tank is sitting there from when they owned it last, now youre telling me I cant take the tank? Its still a game after all. I understand not being able to take a battleship, or aircraft carrier... but a tank/jeep/AA, seems like it should be fair GAME, yes because its still just a game.

is reward an artillery spotter for an artillery guy's kill using his spot?

because i posted this idea but a devoloper said this was not possible

also the push flag strategy where you have to capture a certain flag to capture a another flag or some type of group capture where u need at least 3 people to capture a main base?

howbout the revamping of the lame-assed crouch walking animation and those fruity-as-hell death anim's. I'm pretty sure that these ideas are impossible, or else someone would have done this way back.
