Well if AT weapons didn't take ages to center, the problem would likely fix its self. The LMG thing is also a byproduct of very very slow closing times for crosshairs. You cant sit there for ages waiting for the crosshairs to close, sometimes you have to fire NOW. Making these two things close a lot faster would pretty much make the bug obsolete.

Yeah, it is quite lame. Not very funny being in a tank when something like the following happens: You shoot a close-by enemy tank to a flaming state, and the enemy jumps out, then immediately using a panzerfaust or whatever blows your tank to pieces before you even have time to mow him down with a MG or whatever (or if in for example a StuG, you don't even have the use of a MG in driver/shooter mode).

Same thing with "AT jeeps", that is, people who have their crosshairs "pre-closed" just like those tankers, and then when they encounter a tank they jump out of their from full speed and immediately have 100% accuracy, and then blow you up with their faustschreckzooka. That's lame because even with a tiny bit of lag the jeeps are damn hard to hit and kill with the pathetic HE effect the tanks' shells have, so you can't often even kill the jeep before it gets close. And when the driver jumps out just when you've shot, you're dead meat. This has happened to me more than often enough.

So yes, even with the faster aiming in 0.62 I still hope this can somehow be fixed. I hope someone finds a way... :uhm:

EDIT: For the LMGs the speed at which the crosshairs close shouldn't basically be much, if at all, longer than the rate in rifles. That being the case when prone, of course crouching and standing it should take longer, with the gun being much heavier than a rifle and all that.

For that matter, I hate the Rambo usage of the MG34 and MG42. It's just stupid how people run around with the MG42 spraying bullets like with a PPSh or something, mowing down anyone who gets in their way, when it actually would knock you on your ass trying to shoot full auto while standing, let alone running! You had to be one big, strong, bulky guy to shoot with the MG42 from a standing position, and actually hit anything even with a burst of a couple of bullets - and to stay standing

There is no way to stop this unless you remove the knife from HMG and AT kits. And considering knives are "close" to useless I think removing them would be alright.

/offtopic AT and Support kits should get a pistol, not a knife.

IMO as long as the aimbug exists, the game is totally screwed. I can't imagine anything in the game that destroys the balance and realism as much as this.

Why, I think the bug should stay, it fixes the damn crosshair closing time.

Well, I must admit that until two days or so, I didn't even know there was this bug. I've seldom played AT (mostly eng) and if I did, I waited for my crosshair to close in, as I am expected to.

Does that make me a stupid player? :)
