The BAR is effective for suppression of a single area, not the whole zone suppression offered by MG34/42 and the browning .30, but the Bren has the same problem. Both the BAR and Bren make far better "automatic rifles" for specific targets, though.

Solo4114How much heat could you really build up in this game, though? The thing's only got a 20 round magazine and, given how heat dissipates in the BF1942 engine (don't know if this can be adjusted or not)

Heat accumulation and dissapation are very settable in BF, you could make it so it'd take 3 clips full auto back to back to get overheat, and take mucho time to cool.

I like the overheating idea. If it were up to me, I'd add the same thing to the PPSH41 just to balance it out a little. Surely if you pump out 71 rounds in under half a minute the barrel is going to be a little hot, I cant see anyone putting their hand on it.

I think it needs a new model...It's just too small to look like any effective Support LMG. Same goes for the Springfield sniper, while we're on fixing models.
