I didn't make it!
This should be interesting reading for fans of Forgotten Hope. It's an pretty comprehensive article by me concerning the best features of various first-person wargames, along with some thoughts on the future of the genre. It's 22,000+ words, with a ton of screens, pictures, and videos to illustrate the various points.
Feedback is welcome and appreciated.

First: :dropsjaw: Second: From what I've read so far, this is great (accurate), comprehensive, and I must say I agree with the points made (though the impact on hardware of some of it would be...catastrophic) Third: I can't give a complete commentary on it yet because it's late and I need to go to bed.
If some game designer saw and listn to this article, games would be alot better
Amazing indeed, good read so far!
Very soon done whit it, the devs should read this! A lot of nice things in this article, that is wrong in FH1, like muzzle flash and the sound of bullets pasing close by in supersonic speed, and should be corrected in FH2
i like alot of the ideas that would make games more realistic and accurate, but as someone said befor, to incorporate all of this or even part of it would be very hard on hardwear for some computers and users. still very good points.
I saw this posted on a ArmA board and in fact posted it here a couple days ago in another thread. He really likes Operation Flashpoint (ArmA is like 10x bigger and badder, can't wait!) and that one Rainbow Six.
I saw on the PRMM board and it is very long but i like what ihave read so far. Very nice
really nice one!! I hope this will be an inspiration for the devs!
P.S. You see in the videos there is nearly to no muzzleflash with the MGs! In FH you barely can't see anything else because of that extreme lightshow!
