I had made a previous point about the AAA in FH being a tad on the weak side.

Last night I hit a Stuka with a two-pounder. Twice. He flew away, smoking, but didn't go down. This is a weapon that will take out most Axis armor with two shots.

sheikyerbouti;4398201 I do have a flying question though, do most guys use the aim to bomb with the Stuka? I have been enjoying greater success just eyeballing and am curious if the flying phenoms will grace us with an answer.

Nope, for bombing not using sights is better. Those are needed only when you strafe run.

It's some sort of feeling, it comes with practice. At first I sucked in bombing in BF2 and FH2 alike but after practicing you get some feel and you know when dropping the bombs. Hard to explain but just practice  But if your making a vertical dive with Stuka then you could use the sights. And your divehorn ofcourse!

It's imperative that the 109 and Stukas get in a Squad together, not only for dog fighting purposes but also the 109 is great at relaying bombing targets to the stuka pilots. So the tactic is to get the stukas buzzing over an enemy flag at high altitude waiting for a bombing target, try to keep buzzin' until you have a target that is worth it, like a matilda or a sherman, bombing static targets is useful but not worth it considering the time it takes to re-arm the bombs you dropped, save the 250 for a big target and the smaller 50lb bombs for statics/grey flags. Work in tandem with the 109, so before you initiate your bombing run have the 109 strafe the AA in the area and/or engage any aircraft patrolling the area.

TheHitman24;4396340 There are plenty of good pilots from way back in the day, Holster, The Cleaner, Adder, Lukestral, Mosquito. And most of them had joysticks.

Hey there Hitman. :cya: How about some pilots that never used joysticks: Orange, moleman262, murds, and Zurich..... I've sure you've seen them at least once or twice in FH1. You can throw me in the joystick bunch though; i never could get the hang of flying all mouse/keyboard. However, i still have my rudder mapped to my keyboard because i hate twist rudders with a passion, and don't like using my rudder pedals in FH. I saw The Cleaner not too long ago in an FH1 server. He was always one of the most fun pilots to dogfight with. Has anyone seen him playing FH2 though? Anyway, FH2 dogfighting has gotten pretty stale to me lately because i can't stand BF2's lack of gravity. I've been a flight sim addict since MS flight sim was still on floppy disks, and i can not stand that a game dared to remove true energy fighting. Converting altitude to speed and booming & zooming doesn't work at all when gravity ceases to exist. Hence when play on public servers i try to avoid flying, and opt for infantry instead. I've really only been flying when i play in organized battles/tournaments. Oh, and to add to the guide, the most important thing a pilot can do is check his six every few seconds. It helps a lot to know when threats are coming, before they can fire.
