Archimonde0_0;4336162I really dont get it, all their admin problems can be solved by enabling the vote kick. Then the players have the power to get rid of them. JUST ENABLE IT FOR CHRISTS SAKE

But seriously, the tards might start kicking people for no reason and stuff...

I was S L'ing on hslan yesterday afternoon. Defending Garawla as allies. Incoming Panzer 4 so I approach the 88 when out comes a Bren gunner from the 88 circular wall and rattatat tk's me. He then gets in a Crusader Tk's 3-4 others, untill and anti tank guy wises up and gets him with a sticky. Not enough to kill him so he jumps out goes round a corner, mows another guy down, and by now having respawned I'm tamping with rage and after him with my Thompson! Just as I catch up to him round a corner, the bugger disconnects. Should have taken his name down, but I'm sure it was 'Sherman66' or similar. Grrr  I don't see such behaviour often, but even if I see a blatant Tk'r killing me or another teammate I try and catch up with them with a bayonet when I get the opportunity. :D

*Sigh*

I knew this thread will produce a little fuzz and missunderstandings alongside with overinterpretation. Ok so here we go:

N24Reporter;4336003And thus the defamation begins and a Nazi lynchmob is created in the disguise of anti-smacktardism.

I vote no on such measures. You have a problem with a player, take it to the admins, not an open forum.
I understand your concern and I don't want that to happen aswell. The main reason of this thread is not to put as many crosses alongside the road as possible in acompany whith angry mobs whine. I want people who play fair know that IS a way of doing something with troublemakers even when there's no admin around (sometimes, admins may ignore a request but when you post at their forum - that's something different).

The way I see it to work: Someone posts a screenshot of a troublemaker on X date with X name that was notoriously TKing. After a while another person says that he was playing at the time and that guy made only a one accidental TK with a nade. Now we got to versions... And other people may verify which one is true. etc etc.

Maybe that's an optimistic way to see it but I really hope it will turn this way. After some time the thread will die but the reactions remain the same. That's my aim.

'[79thSgt-D;4336141']I agree

When FH2 was released and there were several servers, I tried to noticed the names of such smacktards on the 79th server, but I abandoned the idea really quick.

I'm not sure FH2 needs its own private Gestapo.

When such issues come on hslan, I think the only thing you could do is gather some pals, and spend ten minutes to hunt the bastard and make his life a hell, until he quit or become less stupid.

We use to do this on FH1, whe a 79th get intentionally TKed, five or six 79th gathered to systematically TK back the jerk, one after the other. The dumb ass used to replicate, and after several TKs get kicked.
I think a comparison to Gestapo is an overdo. How can I torture people through internet? I would name it "calling police when vandals are domolishing your neighbourhood". You do that right? Or maybe you watch peacefully, or charge at'em with a hatchet?

Spoiling "their" game with "their" methods won't solve the problem. You are just giving them satisfaction of the sheer fact that you got annoyed. Plus it requires few more people which is not so easy on a pub server. And I would prefer smactards to change their attitudes instead of a "coming right up" ban, and pushing them to a point where they have to choose which do they like more - pi** off people or play FH2.
And if you are [F|H]Kubador, we've fought alongside each other in a few squads - but I'm sure you punished my accidental TKs on more than one occasion. ;)

I report racist remarks, as for swearing the occasional "s**t", is acceptable in response to a nooblike error, the line being crossed when swear words are clearly directed at someone, but what can you do, certain times of the day, there is always a majority of passive aggressive young people online.

How did you know my ingame indentity?=p Yes that's right, probably I punished you more than once but that's due to I'm not watching who TKed me but how, and unintentional TKs sometimes look like were made on purpose. Plus I might push the wrong button. But the rate of punish TK in my book is 20% tops 30% and sometimes even none(depends on a day).

I recall you as a good teamplayer and a serious stat rival;).
I really dont get it, all their admin problems can be solved by enabling the vote kick. Then the players have the power to get rid of them. JUST ENABLE IT FOR CHRISTS SAKE

Maybe there's a reason why they not have implemented it. Don't know.

-------------------------------------

I want to ask everyone not to hijack this thread and not to make it a lynch site - nomatter who you want to lynch.

For FH sake, don't enable kick vote!!!

Kick vote spamming by young pricks is even more boring than them Tking on purpose.

What we would say, Kuba, is that we all share your concern, but not only it would be hard to be efficient, but also it would be morally dubious.

n other hand, I don't have better responses...

if you see some major smacktards on our server, with no admin around to take care of the problem, then of course its ok to post the incident in our forum. it helps us to sort out the kind of people who play saints when an admin is around, and go on a TKling/cursing rampage if they dont see one.

we have a pretty good idea about our honest regulars, and we do take into account what they have to say. that doesnt mean that you should flood our forum with complaints about occasional TKls or some mild curses, we only search for the true troublemakers trying to ruin other peoples games.

btw, if you get TKled, dont take revenge by TKling back! you never know, maybe there is an admin around (not all wear hslan tags), and suddenly, with some bad luck, you are the TKling smacktard and have to bear the consequences. instead use the punish TKl function. after 5 punished TKls, he should be gone.

about kickvotes, they dont realy work on pub servers. if the settings are too high, you dont get a majority. if they are too low, smacktards abuse the function to get rid of other players who have done nothing illegal. anyway, if kickvote is enabled, you have to expect a vote every 30 seconds, which is kinda annoying. so no, we wont reintroduce kickvote.

Good to know!

By the way, I didn't notice so much prick behaviors on the hslan server, but I don't often play in the afternoon CET, which uses to be the smacktard fest hours.

afternoon cet is clean. thats also the time when i am around most often.

most likely the smacktards are around very late in the evening. at least thats the time when adminpresence is normally at a low. we simply dont have the manpower to monitor the server 24/7. the step from FH1 to FH2 cost us quite some active members/admins, which we couldnt fully replace up to now.

anyway, we are trying our best to give the FH2 players a nice place to game, and we appreciate any help to keep it that way.

if you are sure about someone being a major problem for fair play on the server, collect proof and dont hesitate to report him!

I was playing last nite on Hslan (Kubador was there!) and didn't notice any rampart smacktardness. Actaully been playing there quite a bit and most of it is acceptible. But you will see the occasional forays into uncappable zones and all that. I admit that I miss having US-type ping! Kick votes are usually used by smacktards as revenge for sucking at the game.

I don't get exactly the discussion about the crusade, anyways, report the smacktardist behaviour like there is no tomorrow to the admins of servers, ingame and/or in the server forum, idiots have not civil rights, if they can't share the fun with people playing fair they just deserve an endless SP game.

Example: Rules of engagement in the Wolfgaming server, if you are TKed or abused by a random lemming take a screenshot of the offence, talk in the ingame chat or teamspeak about it with the admins, post the proofs in the banned users subforum in their website, admins will act mercilessly if the proofs are clear or add the offender to the KOS list, to watch him closely, as soon as he is hunted being an idiot: TKing, spawnraping, racism, etc, the baby will be kicked/banned/perma banned.

Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!

Late PST (West Coast North America) time on HSLAN can be attrocious sometimes with the kind of people, TKing like no tomorrow/bad mouthing, next time I see it though I'll take a screenshot and post about it (I know somepeople have taken screenshots already, but I doubt they've posted them)
