Hi guys and girls I am impressed by the detail of the M10 Wolverine and hope that this tank will get its true power and not be fucked up like other allied tanks. If you would like to buy one allready today then watch this:
How exactly are the other tanks 'fucked up'? The Cruiser series all seem about right - fast, good guns but thin armour, and the Matilda and Valentine are fine. The Grant's gun will be perfect in the next patch.
Its called Propaganda for a reason. They stretch the truth of its true potential on the battlefield. Though it is a good tank, if it could destroy everything in its path then it wouldn't be realistic.
And yes, please explain how the other tanks are "fucked up".
yeah ditto on the allied tanks.. they seem pretty accurate to me.
I liked the videos of it driving up hills, through water and such. You won't find old tanks being worked up like that on newer videos because they're dead afraid of damaging the tank. All they'll do is drive back and forth a bit and people will be clapping their hands.
If they mean with "blasting the swastika of any tank", scratching the panters paintwork, they're right !
Check the speed of that thing, a good reminder for those who say that our tanks are unrealistically fast
Well to simply explain what fucked up means: As I am studying matericalistic science of WWII at my college I have a pretty good view of the different types of tanks and how they were deployed during WWII and how many factors are calculatet within FH2, however I am not yet able to tell what schematic or program you guys used to tranfer values from the real tanks to the game and how far they were modified. Values like speed, enginetorque, acceleration v1, turrettraversespeed, armorvalues but maybe also factors like engineloudness, smokegeneration, crewexperience, comouflageability and so on. So to compare tanks in the game and in real life would require the use of hundreds of values, however that is not the case, logically since this is not a simulator. I have always had the feeling that the team is designing tanks for the german team, the overabuse of PZ40 grenades (wich in reality only were used as emergency shells and so should be limited to only 1 or 2 in the game) or the overpowerfull Heatshells of the PZIV F1 wich made the tank a moster compared to it reallife equivalent. These tanks were not degraded like the allied ones (example M3 Medium Grand, yes I know it is moddeled after the M2 75mm gun with lower velocity but there should also be the M3 75mm gun in later scenarios like Mareth line wich is the same gun as the Sherman has). So to simply say, the german teams abuse of the PZGR40 or HEAT has lead that the allied tanks are more or less crap. I have read much about thoose grenades and they were expensive and rarely fired at enemies, so dont try to convince me that every german tank had them and fired the, carelessly at everything that moves. I dont want to be a smartass.. but I do get frustrated when sometimes driving a Allied tank, even with a good score.
"the team is designing tanks for the german team"..
There are more things to think about than the materialistic science of things when you make a mod. Tanks are good as they are, if they would be better with different values, they would have those values.
By better I dont mean higher power, I mean better in terms of the general system this mod uses.
I have brought that fact up numerous times earlier, but the dev team decided to put them in because FH2 is also a tad bit about having fun. PzG40 and HEAT rounds were incredibly rare, and the dev team tried to show this by only issueing 6 or 8 rounds to the tanks, even though this is still too much. However, they did this after deliberating and much, much play testing. Obviously, there is a reason for it.
As for the M10, it was a piece of crap. Sure, it was fast, but it was thin skinned unlike the successful TDs of the war (Stug, Su122/152, Jagdpanther/panzer), and armed for taking on tanks of 1942, not 1943/44.
