Yes, a simulator, I agree. FH1942 did it a bit and it made a difference.

Yes, I agree that there should be no external view but a cupola instead

@wire man: I seem to recall any number of posts from devs stating that tanks were going to be "adjusted" in terms of how they move. E.g. slowed down, clumsified, etc.

wjlasloI imagine the "cupola" would be simulated by the turret gunner/commander of the tank, where he can duck down, and possible has some optics in the cupola with him. I'd say it's already implemented; however in BF2 when ducking you cannot see out of the tank, which is not realistic. Tanks had little windows all along the edges of the commander cupola.

exactly my thoughts. in bf2 its really anoying having windows but not being able to see out. i love the idea.:)
