For all I care, feed me lies for a week. Then the week after, tell me that they were lies, apologize, and tell the truth. That'd shut most ppl up for 2 weeks. :D
What I'm wondering is that Lobo has said almost all the models needed in first release are finished, but why the dev team has not shown us the British player model until now? Is it skipped being shown? Or the player model has not been finally finished yet?
Not sure about the weekly updates, if there really isn't anything to show, why make a "forced" update. Maybe now there's a phase going in the productino when no models/maps/etc are getting finishe. Although I'm really getting worried, updates are really getting scarce these days.
StrangerThanFictionToo much, read into the situation not! Sometimes conflicting schedules, or other trivial reasons for skipping a week, have we.
;)
They're not posting updates because all they are doing is beta testing the first public release -heck I'd have no time on my hands if that's what I was doing all day and night ;)
I agree with this post. Even a "Nothing new this week guys!" update would be appreciated. Keeps me from checking the homepage in vain several times every day of the week.
Bugs posted 11-12 he had to move and dsl wouldn't be available for 3 weeks. STF Started a new job before he quit his old one so he's too busy to even say "hi". If you know of anyone else that has access to editing the news page, let us know.

11-27-06 Update
Does Rad mean there was no update for 3 weeks only because no one can edit the news homepage?
Personally I think they should do a developers diary entry every week. Hell take turns having a new dev each week talking about the work they are doing, their vision of the mod for their particular area, and even what's going on in their lives.
Let them talk about how hard it is working on this new physics movement all the while saying how much the new Bond movie sucked. I think that would be a great way of not only the public getting to know the real people behind this awesome mod, but the complexity and hard work you guys put in. It makes the mod more personal to those who truly are fans of it and having that show through really strikes a nerve with the community.
Just a thought.
You might be able to wag the "ignoring the community" finger at a dev team being paid to do that work. Doesn't work when your developers are doing this as a SIDE PROJECT.
Most of them have actual jobs and actual lives they have to live. The fact that they're here in the first place doing this work just because they want to is evidence enough that they are not "ignoring the community".
Having a three week gap in updates has never, nor will it ever, impact the fanbase in any big way. You'll be back when the next update hits, and most people don't even start getting into the mod (reading news updates regularly) until there's a release date posted anyways.
What i'm getting at is you're not original in your post, I can remember seeing quite a number (with almost the exact same content) when I was doing updates.
They will update when they have time and stuff to show. It's a mod in development it's not a released product trying to suck in as many people as possible.
