Hello again everybody, we are back....or will be back at least pretty soon.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, let me explain. ForgottenHamster was a site where all necessary information was gathered for the average Forgotten Hope player. This included aids such as Teamspeak Overlay, or fast mirrors for downloads. We also featured a constantly updated clan list, of all the clans that played FH1 as well as FH2.
Unfortunately our domain expired, and we lost it to the eNOM corporation, who buy up expired domains, and sell it on for a much higher price. Considering our visitor rate was around 20/day, our domain was estimated at $200. Knowing eNOM's prices, we didn't even bother with buying back the domain for $4000.
But thats the past now. Fortunately all data still remains on our server, as well as the files. However alot has changed since we went down in March last year.
I need the community's help to upgrade the database. All clan leaders should PM me, or post here their latest data. But this is not limited to clan leaders. If you know any communities, or clans which aren't very active in the community, please post here about them. Spread the word ;) Any hints of new software which can be used to enhance the FH experience are much apriciated (such as the lovely widescreen fix). Server files, tips are also welcome!
The site is now getting upgraded, as we speak. The graphics design should be ready in 2 weeks or so. Until then we are running the basic shell of the old site.
Hamster out ;)
P.S. Link should appear later today. We are doing some basic updates to the site now.
The new domain is www.forgottenhamster.com

Thanks. FH2 Africa Theatre wasn't really our thing, as we were very much infantry based. Not to mention most of the guys have jobs/studies at the moment. But we will be back for Normandy.
Good to see you guys are still going. Up for a scrim once we get Normandy?
