I was on last night and, before my comp crashed, Allies were down to about half their 1100 points before they ever captured a flag, and they'd looked pretty good the previous map. Since the guns were occupied and I tend to defer to others' skill with tanks, I ended up just drifting around waiting for flag struggles that never happened. I've never seen this before on Storm, usually it's much more of a scramble. I mourn the loss of the mg34, but it seemed like the addition of one 88 on the left of the Axis front line, along with changing the position of that flag in the NE that the ice skaters try to capture, and other tweaks I'm not aware of may have made the map one-sided.

Is this now typical? Or, did Allies just not get it together?

That said, generally .65 is great!!! :cool:

I've seen the Russinas win that map constantly. It does require a bit of teamwork to get everybody together, but once you do it's all smooth sailing.

Its much more even... The russians need to concentrate thier armor and air power to gain a foot hold. Once that happens its usually just a slugfest, both sides can win...

I only played that map once since .65. We sloughter the axis. we had them surrendered to the center flag and just killing them while they tried to escape from the encirclement. Then after we got tire of getting a bunch of kills, we went in for the real kill and captured the flag.

Ive played it maybe 5 times, and seen both sides win pretty consistantly. Once the allies get 2 or 3 flags the axis really start getting into trouble, but even then, it's hard to finish them off compleatly. The addition of a few more german afvs and AT emplacements seems to have evened things up.

Also the mp40 doesnt blow anymore. :p Storm is my favorate map to use it in, because its got just the right range to use it very effectivly. Too short for rifles to be compleatly safe, and too long for ppsh guys to spit lead everywhere.

I always see close games or axis usually win, I do see allies win now and then but usually russian maps and its very close. But if you think about it look at the player ticket ammounts.

800allies-500axis 2500allies-800axis 1100allies-575axis, so of course axis scores are usually 3-4 times the ammount of allies and the whole scores list shows it at the end.

Dont get me wrong tho if allies stay camping in a building looking out a window they can get 30k-0d. Another thing they do to win is steal thier tanks and planes at spawn. The storm map the only time i seen allies win is if they get the back tank base and steal all the german tanks.

I team of people on teamspeak can win over a team not using it, but if both teams dont have ts axis will win most occassions, part of this is becuase of our armor which seems to tank 1 frontal hit to blow up, even shooting a halftrack with a sherman in the front it takes 2 hits, or 3 frontal rockets.

Some maps i have done really well with the panther, tiger and kt when i have mechanics I get a ridiculous score, compaired to how shermans aim and the 88 cannon with no drop of shot is why, another thing i see is reload time of the 88, turrent speed and vechile speed of the tiger kt and bounce of shocks or should i say lack of.

Historically look how they bounced when rolling over terrain and even flat dirt roads they had the loosest suspenstion being so heavily armored,

I also find the speeds wrong 17kmph the kt was able to achieve off paved roads and on paved roads 35kmph, turrent speed and reload time. The mechanics give such an unfair advantage now since we cannot use them on allies except for the churchill and sherman jumo.

Please fix the firing rate on the carbine rifle and m1 garand along with its shot movement which is so over done.

well, too bad.

this is probably just the server. if it was the 130th or TDB they tend to stack their teams, so one side never wins. ive seen a even break between axis and allied victories so far.

OT, but Lt. Lipton mentioned Teamspeak on a pub server. Am I missing something? Are there TS servers set up for servers that I'm not aware of? That would be excellent!

It's optional and you have to take the trouble to find tat servers TS IP adress then set it up bla bla bla. Not really worth it unless you plan it ahead of time.
