what happened to the Forgotten Hope entry on wikipedia? Was there some kind of implosion?

It had gotten to the point last i checked where it was quite well done...links to info about all the maps, and nearly all the vehicles.

Probably the competition form other mods was kind enough to erase it.

What a lovely world view you have, Ww2freak.

On the contrary, it was deleted simply because it was a mod, and therefore any non-internet sources clarifying all the detail on the page was difficult to find and cite, a key part of Wikipedia. It was deleted after a hot debate over what constituted a reliable source.

i see. that's to bad though, it was very fun to browse the numerous vehicles and see all the maps in a list that linked to info about the battle. Source is very important, paramount, but i though that was the idea - to provide and varify.

was it deleted by FH dev participants?

The point is I don't really use wikipedia academically and anyone with a bit of sense won't either - I do use it however to look up random facts/figures/connections/information that isn't avialable in books - I think they take themselves way too seriously

Right, except they left up the Desert Combat article. When I asked why they did so, they responded because DC had been featured in CNN. So I guess CNN is a magical "Worthy of Wiki Article" source no matter what.

Well, then FH is Wiki worthy too, since it has been featured in numerous gaming magazines - which means it has a citable non-internet source on printed paper!

I would review FH status on Wiki and probably ask to put up the article again.

You might very well think that, this is not the place for me to comment.

I don't think they care. There's an article on "list of BF1942 mods" and in there they even make note of the different publications that featured different mods, yet DC is the only one that has an article to its own. Wikipedia nevertheless is extremely corrupt and unreliable.
