This may have been discussed before, but since my search yielded nothing I though I'd ask the question anyway. I know that Tirpitz model is present in the mod. Is there a FH map with Tirpitz battleship ? If not, are there plans for one ? Thanks

It was in FH in the map Atlantic......but that map has been removed since FH 0.65 i believe.

Most likely cause was that map caused extreme framelag on everyones systems, too much to enjoy playing the map. And there aren't so many players intrested in fighting with ships, they rather run around with a pityfull infantrygun.

Anybody tell me the history of Tirpitz please, You know general stuff when built where it saw service in which battles what it sunk and when and by whom was itself sunk?

yup...but the sistership Bismarck is in Rheinübung, IIRC the only different is that the Tirpitz had lots of more AA-guns and one more Ar 196, and some slight modifications to its armor...

Hmmmm....IIRC the Tirpitz was put into service in late '41 or early '42 (not counting its testing in the Baltic Sea). It was mainly stationed in Nothern Norway during WW2 to counter the endless stream of convoys heading for mother Russia. It was also sung in nothern Norway, of the city Tromsø, the autumn (IIRC) '44 but the british 617 sqd (special bombing Lancasters). It wasnt actually sunk, the bombs where constructed and aimed too hit the right besides Tirpitz, the explosion then "removed" the water under the Tirpitz, and the ship capzised and sank! I think something like 1000 lost their lifes...

:(
