I'll trade newcomers any day for the knife fighters. That just indicates boredom and farting around. Feh.

I like knifefighting as long as it's a last-resort option. When both players have expended all ammo in their rifle, and all ammo in their pistol, only then should knives be pulled. It's actually quite fun if done right.

Wow. Today on the 130th server, the public one, the whole allied team was full of newcomers. That got annoying..."hey, guys, where is the KT? Let me see it, don't shoot me guys---even though I'm allied!" And there were about a 1000 of those type of comments. It was a very quick game though for us.

Hi everyone, I'm still in the process of downloading (82% :) ), and am just checking out the forums here. I decided to check it out after reading about it on the BF42 forum. From what I've seen, I think it's gonna be really cool. I can usually find a vanilla server that's pretty tard-free, but the vanilla gameplay is what irks me. Too many times have I faced an enemy across open ground, gotten 3 or 4 solid hits with a firearm, only to have them bunny-hop their way into grenade-spamming range. Not that they are being noobish, but simply using the most effective tactic. My best times online were playing World War 2 Online. That was a very tard-free game. Probably due to the fact that only the dedicated would jump in a tank, drive 10 min to the battle, only to be one-shotted by an unseen Flak88 2 km away :D I had to stop playing that, however, when it got to the point where people screamed at you for taking one of 'their' precious tanks, even if you said you would support their advance. In short, I'm hoping FH will bridge the gap between the two, giving me the WW2 realism I want, while being a little more forgiving as far as taking all my free time, and providing more 'instant action' I'm sure I will forget a couple times that grenades don't kill tanks (Yes!), and probably accidentally TK a few people, maybe even crash a couple planes (I could take off and sometimes even land in WW2OL, but combat?), but I love teamwork and this sounds like the mod for me. Cya on the battlefield.:runaway: PS: noticed a manual mentioned a few times, where might I find that?

I think you'll find just what you're looking for here at Fogotten Hope. Welcome to the forums, and the manual should be in the downloads section on the main mod page.
