I hate to say it but I would like to see an updated estimate as to the release date. The original estimate was sometime this summer. The earliest date for release in that timetable is only 2 days away, however it is unlikely that it will be released in the next couple of weeks. I would like to know (if possible): What is the current estimate for the earliest release date? Is the estimate for the latest release date, (September 21), still valid or has it changed too? Now I am not pounding my fist on the table and demanding that the devs answer me now. I am just giving a gentle reminder that the earliest estimates for release are now dated, and wondering if they can be updated. (I am also scrupulously using the phrase 'estimated release')

Lobo;3745894The anticipation for 0.5 was crazy, and it had hundreds of thousands of downloads. Not was enough polished and we did lost potential happy customers for posterior releases, no doubt about it.

I was one of those guys. .5 never really worked out for me and I went on to other mods. A good friend of mine, many of you have been "felled" by him, RooR, dug it back up, after a patch or two and we've been at it ever since. That being said, Im sure most of us would say FH was the best of the best for what juices us up. Why expect anything less from 2? Not this guy. And I still come home and think about what I need to do to get back in the fight, even though wolf still puts up bad vanilla maps a few times a night. Lobo, will there be reworked vanilla BF2 maps in FH2??? *holdsbreath*

No, at this working rythm I think we will get around 12-14 maps for 0.1, more than enough, no vanilla maps.

Summer is summer, be glad we have announced that rough estimate interval, we usually never did, don't push or we free the dogs of war =p

yes....you are....almost ALL mods for BF2 have failed miserably, only 2-3 actually have players.

Just look at Rising Conflicts they released an open BETA to the public and got VERY rude responses back, people didn't understand the meaning of a BETA and in the process RC lost alot of potential fans, and I don't know how successful there next releases will be, if they even have any....

Now look at EoD, there were alot of balance problems on first release, look how many people they lost because of it....the mod population was nothing like it was...

Dcon? They had major Lag issues on a few select maps that they warned the community about, yet people are still coming back to there site daily b*tching about it....

Battleships? 0 players.....dead in the water...

OPK? As far as I can tell no players.....same with PoE.....VERY small communities.

The BF2 community IS picky...VERY picky.....and a bunch of Jerks for that matter...if something isn't perfect they will be down your throat about it...

I remember FH in the oldendays when engineers had the remote detpacks from vanilla. We didnt care (that much). Just release the game as is and slowly build it up as you did previously with FH1. We are dying of anticipation here damnit! :)

This is a different game, with a different community....this engine is much more demanding, so is its fan base. With rankings and all that bullsh*t people don't see any reason to play mods, thus, there is a FAR smaller community interested then there ever was for BF42. Because of this, mods needs something big to convince players to play there mod. Betas and low content isn't enough to keep a fanbase....

If you want your mod to succeed you need to draw there attention, and keep em playing, or else they wont come back....

'LIGHTNING [NL;3745546']It's taking so long because we have a lot of stuff we want to add and only a limited amount of people working on it, each with only a limited amount of time they can spend on it.

Do you need more people for developement? If so I'd gladly offer my services.
