Lobo;3523041Yes.

Check our last video.

Yeah, but I mean, having a free 360º view from turret WITHOUT rotating the gun at the same time.

I'll try to be clear:

360º mode on (Aiming Sight OFF): turret is still, commander can view 360º around the tank, from top of turret. Aiming sight is off.

Aiming Sight On (360º mode OFF): no free 360 view. Commander only sees aiming sight and target. When commander rotates sight to aim the gun, turret also rotates. Aiming sight can also zoom (historically accurate data, if possible, on turret rotation, gun velocity and zoom amount).

This is what I mean...is it possible?

I suppose if it were like the Stug, the commander gets the 360 degree view and can signal when he spots an enemy nearby, but the tank driver would still be in control of the turret. I would say, it would be good to isolate the turret from the periscope thingy like BF2 does for the top gunner and the turret so that a turn of the turret is independent of the periscope view... But to have em switchable for one person wold be too complex with no solace as being more realistic (It wouldn't be)

plus: That 3rd postion becomes more useful than it did in FH1 cuz you see the enemies appear on the minimap when they are spotted. You can signal people to attack that area, even call for artilley on that spot (The BF2 Q-key).

Its simpler without needing to switch. You can drive a tank and use the turret and mg without anyone else, but you have to turn that slow turret or change to position 3 to see around (No commander in periscope position) and you don't get the extra MG gunner ontop to save you the slow turning turret and tank speed. I think that's the bst option. 3 positions (4 if you include the dedicated front-facing inner MG) or 3 (The tank commander ducks in to use the periscope, out to use the MG atop, the dedicated inner MG and ofcourse the driver/turret gunner 1st position). I think ducking as used in BF2 should be the opposite here. The natural position for the tank commadner should be in (periscope) whiles a 'duck' puts him in control of the MG atop (Or the duck could be such that you don't need to hold i to remain out i.e Duck once = in, periscope, 360 degree view Duck again = out, MG atop, limit 135 degree view or whatever)

I didnt explained myself right.

I don't mean BF2 commander, I meant Tank Commander - meaning: the guy who drives the tank and fires the gun. The tank driver/shooter has 2 switching modes: 360º and Aiming sight.

I understood you perfectly and the reply is still yes.

The driver of a tank in FH2 has two views: the default one is a wide view a tad over the turret, similar to the view of a periscope, it can rotate 360º, the turret stays fixed, the second camera is a zoomed one with the gunner reticle. If you see the video with attention you can check it (the crusader part): http://video.google.es/videoplay?docid=8506633311435811078&hl=es

The tank will have other secundary positions: commander cupula, mg gunners, riders

Lobo;3522808Well, we can code FH2 like angels do and it will not work if you, beloved players, don't use teamwork and are just worried about stats. I have never seen a tanker traveling slow to protect his grunts behind. I am sure everybody can post countless examples of anti-teamplay. I remember a Gold round time ago, we, poor british were eating dust in the attack to flag 3, pinned down by enemy mg's...I dared to request to our brave fellow tankers to move their statwhore asses and cover us...wow, pretty flamefest: "who elected you as boss, Patton?", "mind your own business, noob" and the usual old jazz. Indeed, they were schrecked to hell shortly...strategic goals acomplished: none...but they got their pretty scores, indeed. FH2 tanks are exciting, no external views, no laser coaxials, two cameras very well coded, riders positions, we still must work in the physics, in north africa infantery doesn't have fausts or zookas so the natural enemies for tanks are other tanks, bombers, AT guns and AT mines but grunts will have their chance to decide battles, all depends in the mapping decisions. For example, in my map supercharge no flag can be captured by tanks, so carry your fellows because you will not win this map alone.

ive seen some times on public severs where tanks help infantry out.. ive done it my self when called upon. i love team play but yes sadly its is very very hard to find. there for we got BFE WAW but i havnt had time for that =(
