I think this may relate to StrangeThanFiction (are you the website admin?). Since there is talk of a FH2 website, maybe the original could be updated for easier navigtion for the future. I know that the only Aussie FH server is just starting to list Map Pack 6 (yeah I know, its taken ages), but its not in the Download section of the website. Also I think some maps aren't compatible with 0.7 like 'Burma'. Please list your thoughts here for a website tuneup too before me move on and perhaps it will get fixed if the FH team have time P.S Should this be in the suggestions forum? Thx Guys

I think the admins (Bugs and stranger) have been working on the new site for quite some time now, so i don't see why the curent one should receive an update on the verge of the release of the new one :)

If I'm not mistaking the code was done, but they had to finish the translations (15 languages). --> That can take some time  . The current FH website has 20 image-buttons in the menu. Multiply it by 15 (languages ) and you have 300 buttons who have to be created by Bugs/strangerdanfiction. I hope they decided to make the button-text in html in stead of in images.

Well well... my 2 cents: What has to be done for the update? 1. Include FH2 (means all code, images, flashrelated stuf as banner and co) 2. Update 14 additional languages 3. Add extra sections 4. Add missing vehicles/weapons/thumbs Yes - we are working on this for quite some time now. Longer than I like it and it was expected. Good news: Language update is done (means filling the gaps, update some sections and especially add the images (which were quite a lot)), code is done as well. Currently we are rendering the last images, finishing up the navigation flashs and the banner. Bad News: I'm on a course, have real RL trouble to cope with and STF has lots of work. So we can't tell when it will be up and online. But I hope to have this done in the next few weeks sso we can keep it updated afterwards... So much from my side ;)

Sorry to hear that bad news PzReg1|BUGS What I meant was perhaps the links in the FH1 website coulb be fixed ie. 1. Filfront link for Map Pack 6 download made available 2. Deletion of Map Packs 1-4 as are not compatible with 0.7 (may be wrong?) etc I know you guys are busy with loads of work, but I think it would only take 5-10mins of your time and may help many others that are new to Forgotten Hope

Well, this might be a good time to make my suggestion.

I'd like to see the FH2 website have more historical info. As FH is a historically accurate mod, it might be nice for the fans to read a little bit more about the maps they play on and the stuff they use. So for example, each theater should have a few chapters on it's major campaigns and each vehicle should have a short history and detailed specs. This does not need to be more than 250 words. This should also include a picture of the real-life vehicle, compared to the one in FH (rendered from the same angle).

Example for campaign historical section: North Africa: Part 1 - The Italian offensive (June 1940 - December 1940) Part 2 - Operation Compass (December 1940 - February 1941) Part 3 - Rommel's Advance and Tobruk (May 1941 - November 1941) Part 4 - Operation Crusader and Rommel's counterattack (November 1941 - February 1942) Part 5 - Gazala and into Egypt (May 1942 - July 1942) Part 6 - The battles of El Alamein (July 1942 - November 1942) Part 7 - Operation Torch (October 1942 - November 1942) Part 8 - Tunisia (November 1942 - May 1943)

Every chapter can be as short as about 1000 words, with every battle in FH2 being in more specific detail.

Also, there can be additional information about each of the Armies that fought in North Africa, with added pictures of Regimental insignia and types of uniform and stuff. But that's all less important.

That's a good idea. I like what BF1918 did with articles on the historical period, battles and vehicles. Unfortunately they were all in German and skill at the language didn't quite stretch to translating them...

I can write it myself. All you have to do is copy and paste. :p

Seriously, I'll make a sample vehicle description and a sample campaign description and post them on the private forum later.

thats a great idea. Im sure you can get alot of content from members or even just link it to reputable history sites.
