No, I do not mean, when will Normandy come out? And no, I don't mean does Lobo prefer a cat o' nine tails or a riding crop... Actually my question is how much of the 'background stuff' is done on FH2? Is the game at or near the point the devs had envisioned? I realized that there will always be little tweaks to be made but is the game now functioning basically as desired? Of course a perseptive person would see that this question does lend itself to asking when Normandy will be done. After all, that would only leave making all new statics, equipment, at least two new sets of soldiers, designing, testing, and balancing a new set of maps. Piece of cake really....

So you're basically asking if the current FH2 is what the devs have always envisioned? If they think the game has reached what they want it to be?

Good questions. Sometimes I wonder the same thing.

Do you understand the amount of strain it puts on our brains to be die hard fans of your hard work without the slightest clue of how far you've come on the normandy campaign except for a panther and some statics? It would be nice if FH did the same thing as BG did, and release WIP screenshots, model screenshots, and so on to active forum posters. Of course all screenshots would need markings on them to not be posted on news sites. I know that BG didn't have any news sites post their WIP stuff. Could it possibly hurt the reputation of the mod?

I know I can't get through to you, but I'll still try. And currently I'd think the beta testers are in the dark aswell because of the new release, thus not having much use for them.

No seriously, I mean there are so many other things in adding a new theater. I tried to list some of them. But I don't expect that trying to answer this question would be of any use in helping players to guess when it will come out. (or helping the devs guess for that matter) I am asking if one aspect is done. No camouflage there. I am curious as to how the game is developing. It is a pretty big part of the game. I basically mean the interaction of the vehicle and equipment with the players. Gun sights, iron sights, how we move, how vehicles move, shell shock, healing, reloading, all the nitty gritty sort of stuff. I thought tweaking that was a big part of the last patch. I realize that nobody owes us a reply, but I thought I'd ask since I the answer would be interesting. (If I got one.) Oh and let me just add that if I believed for one second that you guys actually KNEW when the Normandy campaign would be done, I would lead the campaign to get a release date.

Obviously it is a dynamic process. I know for a fact that many things come and go and come on, every version of FH has played out differently and even better most of the time than the previous version. Everytime we get a new internal I am just amazed on how good it feels and all the improvements. :)

Face it, you do just want to know when Normandy is around the corner, because all I just said should be obvious to a die hard fan.

It's like asking when a car will reach its destination... you have the speed, the amount of gas in the tank, and the distance... problem is when making a mod, the road changes all the time, and the driver keeps speeding up and down randomly.. so even though we know all the things that needs to be taken into account, its still impossible to calculate when the car will reach its destination, since the speed of the process keeps slowing down and up again uncontrollably... personally that is also how me myself work... sometimes I dont do anything for weeks, sometimes I sit 15 hours a day for a week at the computer... I hope to see Normandy released in 2008, I really do... I cant wait to play FH2 in Normandy, that will be crazy fun! :D
