Hey guys, dont know if you remember me, i havent been around here in what, a few years? Been caught up playing navyfield that someone here suggested :P

Anywho, I am still feverently awaiting FH2, and been keeping up to date and such. Following such, I know that the devs refuse to port FH2 over to BF2142.

My question is, hypothetically IF FH2 WAS developed on BF2142, with its superior mod support, what would be possible in FH2 that is currently impossible with the vanilla BF2 engine?

Is there anything the FH2 devs were planning on putting in FH2 that was considered impossible due to the BF2 engine, but is possible on BF2142? What kind of things had to be excluded?

Just a bit of 'what could have been' thread :P

IMO the boon for moving for 2142 would have been the Titan mode: Could make for an interesting spin on a "Hunt the Bismarck" map. But other than that, I don't think the devs are really missing out on anything.

I question the "BF 2142's superior mod support" statement.

IMHO unless you were doing a Sci-Fi based mod there is not enough content or technological advances in BF2142 to warrant moving past BF2.

Superior mod support.. by who? dice live team?... what is it that they do differently with 2142 mods from bf2 mods? what good mods are there for 2142 that can compete against PR, poe2 or FH2?

if they moved to bf2142 they could make an SS Doom Trooper map!!! with mech-like SS Doom trooper vehicles!!! I have yet to see the movie although my roommates say its amazingly amazing. Stupid Scifi puts it on like every other month at 9am on a saturday. /cry

Eh, the mechs would've allowed horses(Polish Calvary!) and other such things, but other than that...not much.
