What do you expect from the next BF engine ? -1 reply

I know this is too early to say and I think DICE probably won't make another BF game as they might have other projects but lets say IF they did make another BF game (could be BF3) with a completely new engine then what features would you like to see in it ? Here's a small list of examples:

  • Improved ragdolls with no weightlessness.
  • Supports 150+ players online.
  • All objects such as chairs, barrels, tables, crates, etc have physics.
  • Maps are 30x bigger than previous BF games.
  • Fully destructable environments such as buildings, bunkers, sandbags, trees, walls, fences, etc.
  • Bullet penetration.
  • Fully supports DX10 and 64-bit applications.

i would like to see them go bankrupt and see lucas arts and pandemic studios take over.

MERCS 3 would rock so much if they made it online with 50 ish mercs per side, + the funny crap that happenes is priceless, throw flash bang into road, SK guy driving around dodges and runs over russian mafia guy, they shoot, miss hit SK jeep, SK hummers see, drive over rocket the crap out of the mafia, then mafia attack chopper sees and owns the sk- mean while AN officer gets hit and 2 uh60s come and spray the area.

and you just standing there like wtf, sry dudes, as all but one of the buildings crumbles around you.

^true story and funnier junk happens then that all the time. now that would make a really nice battlefield game.

there was actually a 500 thred and a new thred thats at about 100 ish of different random funny stories that happened in that game so far.

not to mention, two nk missile trucks seeing you and charge at you at the same time, hit each other and take you out, -as well as everything else in a 100m radius. pricless.

so yeh a little off topic, but i hope that mercs becoms the new battlefield games because the orignal is just so hillarious and the new one looks just as good too.

I want them to do Soldner right. Hundreds of weapons, more vechicles, customizable charactors, destructible enviroments, etc.

What would you expect ... or like ... from the next BF ... two historically opposed viewpoints when it comes to the BF franchise.

So much so that people would expect plenty of bugs, exploitable arcadey gameplay, little realism and plenty of worthless hype ...

... even though they would like the opposite.

- easiest to mod and code. - minor number of bugs.

Armed Assault supports 400x400Sq Kilometer Maps, BF2's BIGGEST map is about 2 kilometers, Armed Assault's View Distance can go up to 9 kilometers, and all buildings and trees and other objects are destructible....

too far into the future? I think not ;)

You mean 400 square kilometres (20 by 20 kilometres), not 400 by 400 kilometres. BF2's maps are 2 by 2 kilometres (or 4 squared kilometres).
