Fair warning: This is one leaky boat you're jumping in. Math: I die 15 times an hour. Pretty reasonable. Assume you spend 10 seconds each spawn. That's 150 seconds of down time every 3600 seconds. 4%. Bump that up to twenty seconds. 8%. Now factor in that you try to live longer because it's a longer spawn time. You might die 75% as often. 6-7%. Compare that to CS, 30% to 60% of your time spent waiting. Played by some of the most mouth-breathing types on Earth (why I mute voice chat.. yeesh. Does he give cullingus to his mom with that tongue? I hope not) I feel this line of "discussion" will have no satifactory conclusion (yay Internet). People obviously want different things out of FH.
The longer spawn times favor the flag takers. If someone can spawn immediately, that means he can contest the area he was just killed in which might be in his favor IMHO. Otherwise, with a longer spawn, the flag has a greater chance to go neutral, than change. I'll stick with my thirty seconds as a happy medium. I still don't think anyone should spawn at a grey flag. In the poll I voted greater than thirty seconds but that is my mark..
Er.. Which part of "Please do not reply to this thread anymore" is it people do not get:p? Please keep replies to the "By popular demand..." thread. Thanks.
We are multi-taskers (multi-threaders??)
0 seconds. :D I always play like that. However it's mostly when i play one on one. But I think it could change the way people play on servers. Forcing them inte large groups who attack a base. And then a flag is greyed and there will be a big frontline there. Mey perhaps work.
The worst servers are the ones where the spawn time is so short that you don't have time to change your spawn location! Simply idiotic!
You can always change before you die. :D What would be interesting is a system where you can spawn very fast, but not at certain way points, like BlackHawk Down. That would allow people to take the quick spawn at main base or wait the extra 20 seconds to spawn in the forward bases.
