I figured after spending some time in the suggestion forum it was time to make a straight list of all the neat ideas that can't work in BF due to their engine limitations. Feel free to add your own. This should flesh out to readers new to BF/FH what to not even bother suggesting. Ok, starting off: BF can't: Have gun jams Dynamic lighting Time of day changes Towable anything Component failure due to damage Adjust view height for infantry Have tunnels Be a free passenger in a submarine submerged

Have tunnels

u can have tunnels, DC has them [color=DarkOrange][color=White]______________[/color]________ [color=White]______________[/color]|______ | [color=White]______________[/color]|______ | [color=SeaGreen]______________[/color]|_______|[/color] [color=SeaGreen][color=White]______________[/color]\[color=White]__[/color] [/color] [color=DarkOrange]\_/[/color] [color=SeaGreen][color=White]_______________[/color]\[/color] [color=SeaGreen][color=White]________________[/color]\_____________________ [color=Black]say the terrain is green and the model for the building is orange and the white is sky :), connect up the buildings so the tunnels connect, and/or discise (spelling?) the top of the tunnel as the texture on the terrain [/color][/color]

Have gun jams- well if you switch to third person and back again the reload animation runs again and stops you from firing even if you have a full clip, so that sort of like a jam Towable anything- bg42 gas detachable towable, and FH use to have a non-detachable 88 flak. Component failure due to damage-it depends, someone said it once a ship turret could be coded as a seperat vehicle and be independtly destroyed. Adjust view height for infantry- can be done relatively easily, it just causes even more problems though. Have tunnels-many mods have psuedo tunnels using a building including bf 1918, GC, etc. ...

DC has the closest thing to gun jams, but only with the A10 Thunderbolt and the Frogfoot (the gun roars then randomly stops). I'm sure its possible therefore

Dynamic lighting

Why the hell would we want that? To kill our machines completely?

Time of day changes

Why would you want that for?

Towable anything

I take it you haven't tried the towable 88... Also check out the Betty and the Baku.

Component failure due to damage

I'm sure it could be done... the FH team and others have cracked things I previously thought impossible in the Refraction engine...

Adjust view height for infantry

That's interesting... I am annoyed that your eyes are at chest level in the refraction engine... But when I was a DC tester there were serious discussions on how to resolve it... unfortunately I think the whole thing with DICE came along before much came of it.

Have tunnels

Interstate 1982 has them, as does DC and (I think) EOD. Finally FH has them too. A certain Polish level has them.... in which you can hide a Pzkw II.

Be a free passenger in a submarine submerged

Even if you can what purpose would it serve?

why when the shermans role off hte ship in iwo and other mnaps they have to take damage?

The thingy with the subs COULD be done tho... You could make a model that are closed and a gate way down to the sub that uses the same methods as the normal boats when you press up arrow to close it or what ever it is... But it CAN be done... If I just had some modelling skills I could do it...
