I have not played in a while and have just downloaded all the new stuff. I used the in game server list and the All Seeing Eye and I can not find any FH servers.
NVM something was jacked with my ASE, and it is now fixed. Was worried that somehow the mod lost it's players.
take some ping filters off and country filters because THIS IS INTERNATIONAL SHIT BABY! and not to forget its laggy (.61 is laggy)
fps slowdowns are no lags .. buy more ram
1Gb (1024mb) should do it. Ever since I upgraded from 512mb to 1Gb I have had no lag, and when I do its usually server side problems. Example: Prokhorovka is an outstanding map, yet to play it successfully you will need at least 768mb of Ram. Ram isnt expensive lately, either.
hehehe, im getting 1gig in t minus 2 weeks :D
hell, ive got 512 and experience minor lag on only a few maps, and none most other places. But like most of us, I get horrendous lag on that eastern front map with German paratroopers, I think its Orel.
To find servers I dont even use ASE. I just use the filters in game, they show the major mods, DC, EOD, and, of course FH.
The pings ASE gives me for servers are always wrong.
Also, 1 gig of RAM will do anyone nicely.. :)
You BASTARDS! You really dont need an uber-computer to play FH. Now, dont laugh, im gonna tell you mine.
Compaq X1000 Laptop 1.4GHz Centrino Processor 512 MB SDRAM 40 GB hard drive 15.5 inch monitor
Now, sure you bastards spawn faster to get all of the tanks, planes, and pick-up kits (damn you IS-2 and KT whores!), but infantrymen as accurate as I, , dont need your God damned armor or air support!
Oh yeah, and while you asshats have to sit in chairs to play FH into the long hours of the night, I just get headphones, my AC/DC power adapter, and lie down in bed!

You can change the pingers, it's in the top part of the gamelist. Ase doesn't ping the servers from your own pc but from a pinger locate somewhere near you (most of the time) that's why the pings aren't exactly right. But usually they don't differ an afwul lot. You can however manually ping a server by going to start -> execute and typing ping ....ip.... (without the port number)
