Good pics, some buildings the FH Dev's should create and put in Pavlov as well.
2ltbenIf you have no idea what I'm talking about, a good book on the campaign is Stalingrad by Antony Beevor. It's also a great starter book for those who don't really read history books.
Yeah, that's one book I'm planning on reading at some point. Just started reading Beevor's book about Berlin less than two weeks ago. It's good reading - although the dates jumping back and forth are slightly confusing at times. The book really makes you wonder about how evil and stupid humans really are, or at least can be. Well, lending Faithless' lyrics: "A wicked mind is a weapon of mass destruction." How true :(
i'm not sure but didn't the Romanians only have older 40mm and 47mm guns? I believe they asked von Paulus for 88s but they never got them.
http://www.worldwar2.ro/gallery/?category=Arme&language=en On this page you can find all the weapons the Romanians used, with various anti tank, howitzers, field guns etc etc including the 88.
I finally found a server playing Stalingrad. Clicked "Join", put on my wooly hat and got ready for a great fight....three bloody tickets to go on the Allied side and then off to Berlin Outskirts. I was gutted.
Looked like a great map, I'm really looking forward to it now.
I've just finished Beevor's book about Berlin, and I've read the one about Stalingrad 2 months ago, both books are very good imo.
I read that book too, very detailed. I say if storming the Reichstag map is ever made it should feature the last Tiger Tank of the Reich in it.
I'm sure that you'll all be thrilled and relieved to hear that I finally got to play the new Stalingrad map.
Tough, tough map for the Allies alright.
I think it could be fixed easily enough though if the boats where just a little easier to get out of. At the moment everyone is getting chopped to pieces by machine gun fire as they jump up and down on the spot trying to get over the edge of the boat and onto the wharf.
It's well worth salvaging as it's a great looking map and I love fighting in ruins. Even the Allied base looks good.
