It's been A LONG time since BF2 has been released. I have been playing Call Of Duty 4 and Cyrsis latley with a new system with two GeForce 8800 GTXs in SLI. I feel that playing FH2 is going to ssem like playing FH42 after BF2 came out. It's really to bad that it is taking so long for for FH2 to come out. I am not sure, but it seems like FH42 didn't take no where near as long to come out after the relaese of BF42. I just dont think FH2 will have as much WOW factor.

If you only play game because you'll get the "ooooh, it's pretty..." feeling, you might indeed be better off playing Crysis or something. But FH2's gameplay is great and that is something these game do not offer (in my opinion). So even if FH2 released in 2010 it will still be a lot of fun to play. That said, the release is not far away now. Just stay patient for a little while longer. :)

FH2 will be for a whole different type of player than the games you mention.

Call of Duty 4 is not really a competitor for BF2 (or BF2 mods). I have played a few hours online and there is no tactics, no teamplay, no vehicles, no good maps. It's just UT3 gameplay with modern warfare skins. That is fine for UT3 but imo does not work well with modern weapons. The HL2 mod Insurgency is much better.

Never played Crysis but from multiplayer videos of the game it does not seem to be the kind of game FH fans would play.

:nodding: FH2 will attract a large audience of a specific type who want realistically feeling gameplay in a WW2 battlezone focussing on many aspects of the battlefield all pured together in pretty reasonable (sexy) grapphics for the engine it's on. :nodding: :naughty:

/me is very tired of the "BF2 is old, FH2 will be old and nobody will play it" threads.

Oh and sure FH1 was realed much faster after BF1942 got out but that is because: 1) There was only very little to mod to get a basic version out, a lot of orginal game content could be used or used with minor tweaks. 2) The first release was very very basic, and only got more mature and stable after several releases.

well, FH42 is 10x better and more fun than BF2 so this remark means nothing.
